It will be strictly for flowering, air cooled hoods, lung to another room so it doesnt need space for dehumie or AC or CO2; can get clip fans so basically it will be 100% canopy.

will be in soil with CO2, plan on running 8 plants under a scrog

5x10: 5400 lux/squarefoot. 36 watts/squarefoot
4x8: 8437 lux/squarefoot. 56.25 watts/squarefoot

Your going to need a small walk way to water plants and look over each one i would go with the 5x10 tent 3 600w
would light it up nicely in there.

the tents have doors on both sides, and i can reach 2 feet across to the very middle. thanks for the advice that it would light up nicely though

I would do the 5x10 tent with 2 600s 1 on each side and a 1000w in the middle.
1000s produce way larger buds and have more reach and penetration power that would make up
for the larger tent but instead of 8 plants i would do 21 plants in 3 gallon buckets vegged for 4 to 6 weeks
under the 1000 then add the 2 600s for flower. Thats if you still need to buy the setup. This would cost around 1500
us dollers shipped for the 3 light setup, tent, inline fan, couple oscolating fans, soil, nutrients, containers, and tempature gauge

but... light penetration would be all sorts of wild. i run a scrog (everyone else should too) and really value a canopy with even height. even if i didnt have 3 600's sitting around i still wouldnt even think to sully my system by mixing different intensity lighting systems.

and it has been proven, bigger stalks have bigger buds. monster method > party cups any day, whether such a comparison is a hyperbole or not. you sound like the salesman from the hydro store, and I sir, will not be fall 4 it.

Another voice for 5x10. I got perfect coverage with 1x600 in 4x4. Even if you don't get Ultra Mega Density, yield/watt should be good. The intensity of 1x in 16 sq ft and 3x in 50 is almost the same. cn

its an easy vote... more space (5x10). Anything else you do could be easily upgraded or changed at any time during your grow except for your amount of space.
You have more light then you need to satisfy the smaller tent and produce good product, and while you may not have that over abundance of light if you switch to the bigger tent, you would probably end up getting more product from it.

I would do the 4x8 tent. I use a 4x8 with two 600's and a 480 watt actual draw LED panel in the Middle with CO2 injection and AC temp control. At this point I am giving serious consideration to changing out the 600'S for 1000's. I think if you do the 5x10 you will be disappointed. With 1800 watts the 4x8 tent has 56.25 watts per square ft, the 5x10 tent only has 36 watts per square ft.

I'd prolly scrog it and make it 4feet wide, which would actually be 4.33' wide, leaving just 4 in on either side of the screen. that sounds perfect, actually. Plus, im currently getting a lot of light bleaching with 2400 watts over a 10x4 canopy.

you only need 3 600s for a 4x10 2400 is over kill unless your growing 3 footers
