18 in. fluorescent and cloning

i have a 18 in flourescent i think it is a t 5 would that work to clone with?

Yea...I got a 2 foot shop light from walmart
that was $9 and I used it for all my young
clones and seeds. Cloned this one 2 weeks
ago and this how she looks

what kind of flouros are you going to use? t 12 t8 t5? the lower the number the better lighting but yes the higher the wattage the better. what size closet?

well i would have to have it concealed somewhat .. i was thinking this would be what i may get T-5 Clone & Seedling System | Fluorescent Grow Lights its only 40 bucks and i could conceal that pretty well .. what do u think .. im only gonna use it for my seedlings up to about 6 inches

i just bought the light in Gilfman's link 2 days ago for $25 at my local grow house. cool thing is, you can turn it into a string and have multiple light on 1 switch.("linked" ) i think is the term. but it is a very nice little light. im using it for seedlings and clones too. have a good day. make sure to get you some "hanging planter chain" , a couple eye hooks, & a couple zip ties work good for loops around the light bracket, that will make it easy to adjust the heigth. unless your getting a hood. im using a spray called "VitaGrow" antiwilting. helps small plants hold moisture in, so there is no need for dome. you can actually cut, dip your clones, spray with this stuff and put them directly under 1000 watter, my local guy swears it, i havent tried it.

how man watts? 25 bucks for t5s? nice buy.

shop lights from walmart are amazing!!!!
thats what i have on my clone domes right now cool white light and a grow bulb so it's an even spectrum of both lights and i have 2 more shop lights above my mother plant and some clones i planted 15 min ago.
