I'm only going to say one thing about the argument. Cali.Grown>408 is basically saying "I did X, and the plants did well, so X must be better than the alternative that I haven't tried." You even said that you had no evidence to back it up and that nobody told you to do this, so it seems like you've just arbitrarily decided that 13 hours and 40 minutes of light is optimal. What tests did you do? How did you do your control? You can't get precise numbers like that without a valid experiment, otherwise you're just making crap up.

lol, we both were i guess.. I just seriousl dont understand why that would work, but who knows. I guess we'll never know unless someone does an experiment with side by side plants. In my mind it could revert it to vegitation and produce the veg hormones, but who knows.

no no this is not my first grow my friend..i have tried the alternative yes i saw evidence from a well known og grower who grows lots of different strains up in nor cal..he swears by this and when i see his crops their enormous..to me the difference was not much of a difference.. but it was not as controlled as it could of been..like to be exact i should have had the same strains and grown a few of them 12/12 the whole way and had a few the last week growing 14/10 but that was my first time growing those strains..i aint making shit up lol r u serious what the fuk u go around making shit up or what?

im hella high right now to but i know im not tripping..i feel what u guys are saying (i dont have REAL evidence) sorry...but it makes sence if u think about it

lmao, you have a hypothesis, not the actual results then. It may make sense but it doesnt make it true.

no plants will process more enzymes and sugars with more light..the key is not letting in revert back into veg..and that takes at least 15hours of light i would think

i used to go 24/7, until a grower with more experience ( ive ben growing 35+ years, and hes been growing almost 40) mentioned i should try 18/6 and see how much more my girls grow, and he was right. my grow room is completely lightproof. i put my girls on 18/6 for a few days and i bet they gained a good 10 inches in height, and not from stretching looking for light like some have said they do. the second day after i switched to 18/6 i went out and they looked like completely different plants.

well of course they looked different after u switched ur hours..maybe if u started at 18/6 the change wouldnt have been as drastic..either way this has nothing to do what were talking about

This post started as a dude asking if it is ok to go to 18hours of light

all Cali.Grown>408 basically said is 14 hours would be the max he would recomend as it is the max length of light time he has been able to use untill the plant will revert back to veg
13 and 40minutes hours of light is not a lot more than 12

why is there a pissing contest over this and that?
New peeps that read this will think there is no good information here and will leave the site

Any information farmed from this site is only a case by case study and is NOT written in gold everyone knows this so WE should NOT cutdown anyone that makes a post that is not 100% the way U do it.

ya, among other types, I use ff grow big and tiger bloom botanicares liquid karma and ripe, and a few other kinds that escape me at the moment.

try advanced next grow..i noticed they fill out ur buds better and ur lower (pop corn) buds better then FF..and they grow a little faster and a i notice a little more thc on them buds when using AN

just pricey as fuk..i like FF to tho..nice buds tho..they started fox-tailing a little bit

i dont wanna start a debate over nutrients to..thats just the difference I'VE noticed when using AN..FF is a good buy tho, they got good prices and good organic products
