16 ounce cup question...and a timing issue.

Greetings...I have a few questions that I know quite a few of you will be able to answer.

I tried bagseed and am into my 2nd week of flowering (12/12) after a month of (18/6) veg. Out of 3 plants to make it past seedling...1 is a definate female, 1 was a male (pulled) and the third just refuses to show sex yet.

So 2 weeks ago getting encouraged by my success with the bagseed I ordered from Gypsy Nirvana...10 NRS AK48s and 5 mazar-i-sharif arrived today.

I have put 5 AK48s into the paper towel germ method.

So timing. I figure to have about 6 weeks worth of flowering left on bagseed chica. (UBER Indica looking with massive wide and flat out huge fan leaves)

I have a mini-fridge that'd work PERFECT as a seedling grow area. So from the 16 ounce cups filled within 1/2" of the top with soil...can I get 2 weeks out of that size cup before moving up to a much larger pot? Can I get 3 weeks?

I want to veg my AK-48s atleast a month at 18/6. I'd be happier with 6 weeks at 18/6. My bagseed is obviously now on 12/12.

General thoughts/suggestions/what have you PLEASE! Thanks!

- Me.

i always start seedlings in solo cups and you can keep them in there from initial sprout to about 6 inches tall. I cant really tell you how long that translates into cause every plant is different but when I have let them get bigger than 6" then they would get rootbound. in the past the timeframe for my plants to 6" has been about 3 weeks. as far as your timing issues 6 weeks for the bagseed sounds about right if you have already been in flower for 2. especially if it has heavy indica properties. and I would absolutely veg those ak48s for 6 weeks at least. us seed growers have an extended veg time as opposed to clone growers and the bigger the plant can get the more weight it can hold. ya know, bigger buds. and one last note, I have germinated a lotta seed cause I dont use clones and the paper towel method is the way to go but not a lotta people tell you the extra tricks. since you spent the money on good seeds my exact method for germing with a 95% success ratio is as follows. I take a small matchbox or any small box of relative size. I put sandpaper on the botoom and put in about 5 seeds at a time and shake the box for about a minute. this is to scar the outside shell cause you wanna soak the seeds for about 24 hours in a cup of water. when they sink to bottom or after 24 if they dont sink then put them in wet towel. put towel on a plate and put a bowl over the towel. keep them dark and warm and humid and I promise you will get your moneys worth out of your seeds.

GREAT!!!

Your thread is exactly what I wanted to read.

I do not want to abandon a perfectly healthy female bagseed plant. She's squat but oh so pretty and ridiculously dense...I also don't want to wait 6 more weeks to start the ak48. So I use the 16 ounce cups and a mini fridge (it's a good size 2.5'x 2.5' x 2')...hook up 3 or 4 cool white cfls...and I can veg the ak48's under 18/6 while the bagseed fem is in the main area in 12/12.

This just might work. ;P

I have 3.5 gallon pots for the ak 48...so I'm really going to try and stretch the veg out for awhile and go for some large gals with huge tits! ;P

You can get as long as you want out of a 16oz cup. I do microgrows all the time (start to finish in 16oz cups).
I get flowering lowryders as large as 2' in 16oz SOLO cups. I just germ'd some AK-48s for growing in 16oz cups, too! I'll keep you updated on that.
Cheers!

rule of thumb.... for ever foot high your plant is it needs a gallon for pot sixe..... 3 foot plannt needs a 3 gal. pot or soil.
