150w Randomly Shuts Off

Ok, so my room is coming to a completion. I have been eunnkng the lights and air circulation to make sure my temp and humidity is going to be optimum. I have a 150wnew hps sun system that i use to back up my 400wcar hps setup. They are each on their own circuit and breaker.

Now the 150wone will be on for say 30min-1hour and then randomly shut off. To get it back on i have to turn the switch off, and then wait about 2min and it turns right back on. However it does the same thing over and over again.

I am at a loss and could really use some help solving this situation before i get my plants going in there.

sounds like its broken, maybe the ballast cooling system as it do run for 1/2 to 1 hour at the time ?

dunno Im no electrician (Im a Smet/Metal worker) but really, I wouldn't trust it then, whats next ? catch fire ?

thinking of the cost of a new one I would just go for that, use your 400W alone until you can get a new, may I suggest a MH if you plan on a 150W agin ? would be nice to mix up a little blue light with your 400W HPS

or atlest one that can run both, cost so little

Good deal. Ya I removed it from my room and I will probably just get a new one. I was looking at a MH as well just for that reason.

Yup thats what my 400w is.

Sounds like you have it handled, but what kind of ballast is it out of curiosity?
