150w HPS Security Lights?

Hi, I was wondering if I could purchase a 150w HPS floodlight, disassemble it to only the bulb, bulb socket, and wiring, then make my own reflector. What do you guys think???

Page not found. How much does it cost? Yes, but you could probably buy something a lot cheaper on craigslist or ebay just as a ballast kit or used warehouse light. If you can use a bigger light do, 150 isn't much. I have two already remote ballasted that I only used for a couple months and then you just want more and you want more and then you're planning to do this:

Yes you can I have a 150 w HPS security light and a 100 MH that I did that very thing
I agree with Oregan Bigger is better watch the heat and power requirments
150 w can be fun for 3-4 grows but you will want more
Its not smoking pot that is addicting its growing it

i use 3 150 hps flood lights but i did not separate the balasts. what i did was mount the whole units to a white closet rack and then attatched ratchet straps to the rack for raising and lowering as needed.i posted pics of the setup here once i think.
then i added cfl's from lowes,300 watters/63 watts use at 17 bux each.i daisy chained those on a 12 gauge wire,2 of these with 4 lights on each with 1 plug on the end.these take care of the lower canopy.

but yah i need to stop here lol my light bill is only 35 bux or so a month more and i have a 7'x4' room now.my calculations came out to 55 watts per/sq.but i am now out of room to expand as the closet is now my veg and clone room.

correct i didnt bother my temps stay 75 degrees max with a 2 motor window fan on emto keep the stalks strong.
but no,w i have installed a larger fan taking air out of the room for fresh air flow.
