FEEL FREE TO POST PLEASE!!
I started to grow after a 10 year leave from growing. I decided on a perpetual grow in soil using clones.

I started w/ bagseed that ive been saving. Chose 3 of the heartiest plants to use as moms, took cuttings and put mom's into flowering.
I'm using Miraclegrow soil, vermiculite, perlite and blodmeal as my soil mix.
Using molasses every other watering and a 20-20-20 fertilizer.
Flowering w/ a 150 watt HPS and a couple 42 watt CFL's. Veg. chamber has two 42 watt CFL's and tow 26 watt CFl's

Got 2 females out of the mom's Killed the male and his clones and rooted the females.

Pic. 1
My closet space is divided top/bottom. The bottom has more height and is the flowering area.

Pic2 and 3
The top is my vegetative chamber for rooting clones and keeping the Moms.

I used black poly to lightproof the 2 spaces from each other...using a "periscope" kind of feel by layering the poly on the inside lip, outside lip and a final cover for the entire top chamber.....works great and still allows for air flow.

I use a fan at the bottom corner as an intake blowing up at an angle, blowing hot air into the cloning chamber...exhaust out through the clone chamber....works great by taking advantage of the heat from flowering cab and moving it where I want it to help root clones.

Pic. 4 + 5 are the original mom's that are now flowering.

Pic 5 + 6 are the moms now 2 weeks into flowering

pic 6 -10 show the flaps on the top chamber..first flap is on inside lip and goes up...second flap is on outside going down and final flap cover the other 2 going across the closet.

Misc pics after include tiny clone going into flowering chamber next to my 12/12 from seed experiment and a couple young flower shots.

Please feel free to comment, give suggestions etc.

what type of 20-20-20? and what soil mix?

The 20-20-20 is MG Nursery Select fertilizer, im using that for veg growth.
For flowering im using Jaks Classic Blossom Booster 10-30-20. It used to be Peters Blossom Booster but it got bought by Scotts, the Jacks is the original Peters.

The soil mix is 3 parts MG Organic soil, 1 part Perlite and Vermiculite, 1/2 part bloodmeal.

hey man, nice setup you got going. i wanted to do something like that, but i was worried about the light leakage from the cloning room. considering that it's above the flowering chamber... what do you do when its' dark hours for the flowering chamber?

I tried a few different ways, this is the one that has worked the best for me.

Note: The sheets of poly i used are 4 mill. that i folded up take 4 layers thick.

I used a 3 layer type of system.

Layer 1:
I lined the bottom of the top shelf with black poly and left enough extra to so that a 4 inch tall flap folds up.

Layer2:
I have the second sheet attached to the ceiling of the closet that hangs down, i cut that 6 inches longer than it has to be.
I tuck that extra poly down under the shelf.

Layer3:
About a foot below that I have a sheet that goes from wall to wall across the closet. This is the final layer that eats any light escaping the first 2 layers. I have velcro that attaches so i can flip it up and put it back easily.

Quick update:

I made a MAJOR mistake w/ some of the soil I mixed.....Not sure how I did it but I added way too much bloodmeal and killed a few of the young clones.
Luckily that batch of soil hadnt been used except for a few young clones. Gotta be careful w/ the bloodmeal, in fact I tossed the little I still had. It shocked me how quicklyy the bloodmeal killed the plants, total nute burn in 2 days. Did all I could to save them but to no avail. It was an expensive and frustrating lesson to learn. That shit wont happen again.

Now the good news:
The flowering plants are all fine (they had my old soil mix) and almost ready for harvest. There are 2 that I like because of the heartiness of the plants, the resin, and great stink from them. Im gonna try to reveg. those 2 after harvest and take clones from the revegged plants.
I gotta be honest Im surprised how effective my little 150 watt HPS is....i'll post some pics of bud porn once I havest .

I harvested the tops from 2 of the plants tonight.....3/4 of the hairs were red and the leaves were curling up, they had that "done" look.

Will be harvesting the rest of the plants next week i think, the bottoms need some more time and 1 strain seems to take longer in flowering but smells incredible and is nice and frosted

Round 2 has started.

I took a cutting from a flowering plant and that has rooted. Also had a female that got pollinated outdoors and have started those seeds. Both parents were very bushy and nice Indicas, hoping that the offspring will be just as nice. After this round I should have ALL the kinks worked out and my system down. Then its on to the good stuff :-)

My goal is to have 4 strains in my space, the 2 I am growing now along with Jock Horror and AK48. Will be ordering from Attitude very shortly.

UPDATE DEC. 5

The cutting I took of a pollinated flower has rooted and provided 8 more cuttings before going into flower.
Pic. 1 is the cutting 2 weeks after I being clipped, pic 2 is after I lolipopped her and took cutting before she went into flowering.
Pic 3 is the view of the mom from the top as she went into flowering closet.

My cloning isnt going as well as Id hoped, not a total loss but im only having about 60% success rate; not good enough. This is gonna be addressed.

Now for the exciting news. I ordered from Attitude last night, and got in on the X-Mas special of 15 free beans. I also ordered GHS The Church and G-13 Labs Skunk #1 to go along with the total of 16 free seeds.

I ordered an EZ cloner knockoff from Ebay. Im also constructing a new cabinet for Moms and clones. I'm using 2 CPU fans for intake and exhaust, 26 watt CFL's,

My closet is being completely remodeled as well. Where the veg space was at the top of the closet is now going to house a 4 inch inline fan w/ carbon filter for exhaust. The other side of that space is gonna be for drying. I kept all the black poly intact to keep that space lightproof.

I also am ordering an additional 150 watt HPS for flowering (just gotta wait until after X-Mas for that purchase.)

My plan is to have my veg cabinet holding 3 bonsai Mom's and cuttings. The flowering closet will hold a total of 12 small plants on a 2 week perpetual harvest schedule.

So stay tuned things are gonna get interesting.:weed:

Thats a grow I'd be watching :)
About the blood meal - its pretty rough.
you said you used around 1\10 of the mix using it - big mistake.
I've never used that thing before, but from what I recall a cup for 100 liters of mix is around the dose. maybe 2 cups. not 10 liters for sure.

and its a strong thing. you might wanna use it after you repot your small plants.

seems like you know what your doing, and that a good thing :D

please check out my journal ;)

Another update w/ some pics.

The bubble cloner is up and running now and is in Pic. 1

I have 2 plants coming out in 2 weeks and then 2 more each week, finally perpetual :bigjoint:

Pic 2 is the Indica/Sativa hybrid, Im keeping this strain going. It smells like Juicy Fruit gum and at 3 weeks is developing resin and starting to have density in her flowers.

Pic 3 is the closet as it is now.

Cant wait to get my Attitude order and get some nice genetics in the closet.

you cloner seems to be filled with alot of water. shouldn't the stem be touching only the bubbles?
beside that, light in your rez encourages algea to grow. think about covering it up some-how.
