Hello everyone this is my first grow journal on this site, I just wanted to share my little project in the works. Here are the specifications:

Medium: Growdan 4x4 Rockwool cube in a white 6x6 white plastic container. I drilled out extra holes in the bottom of container for better water flow.

Screen: Cooling racks from the "Dollar Tree" zip tied together and speaker wire woven through to make the "screen", and drip stakes from previous grow used to attach the screen to the container with zip ties. I used a meat thermometer to poke holes in the container.

Nutrients: GH lineup, Flora grow, Flora Micro, Flora Bloom, Floralishous Plus, Diamond Nectar, Flora Nectar, Cal Mag, and FF Open Sesame. Using the GH Drain to waste nutrient feeding schedule( I am currently in week 1 of the blooming phase schedule). Im using a little more Flora Bloom(11 ml per gal total) and Flora Micro (9 ml per gal total) along with the FF Open Sesame (1/4 tsp) to bump up the PPM to approximately 1050 PPM.

Water: Water store water P.H. 9.0, initial PPM reading of 20-25. Adjusted to 5.8-5.9 before feeding.

Light: 150 Watt HPS light with ballast attached to hood ( Not the best, i know, but neither is a 150 watt HPS LOL)

Light Cycle: On at 10 pm and off at 10 am.

Air Circulation: Oracle Garden Supply 4" Strikeforce 175 cfm blower, 6" Air King clip fan ( not sure of the cfm, prob maybe 50 cfm), and a Holmes tower oscillating fan ( unsure of the cfm either)

Temperature: 72-78 during the day and 69-72 during the night monitored via my Accurite wireless thermometer.

Grow Tent: 2x2x3 DP90 with a 2x2 piece of plywood on top with a 4" hole cut into it to attach the blower because the tent wasn't designed the way I needed it to be (You will see in the upcoming pics).

I put all this together for about $100 bucks! Thank you Craigslist! Let me know what you guys think, I'll be uploading photos as soon as i can.

day one veg, the plant started at approximately 12" tall, I first started to use the bondage technique by tying it down with thread before I put the screen on because I had not made the screen yet. From the top of the rockwool to the top of the plant after the bend is apprx 8"

I also built a DIY digital thermostat yesterday, I love it!! cost $40 bucks to build and it works great. Keeps my temps between 74-76 F , only downside is that it only reads in C, it has a cooling and heating function. I hooked my blower up to the cooling side and an old DIY sulfur burner (minus the sulfur) as my heating element to the heating side. Ill post some pics of both when the lights come on.
