I have more beans than brains. What do you think would be the best strain or strains to grow. I have doubles of most of the beans below so it could two of a kind or two different strains, but my limit is two. If you have experience with any of these I need your help!

Barneys Farm Laughing Buddha
Barneys Farm Dr Grinspoon
Reserva Privada Skywalker OG
Reserva Privada OG Kush
Reserva Privada Purple WreckReserva Privada Kosher Kush
Reserva Privada Kandy KushReserva Privada Sour Kush AKA Headband
Humboldt Seed Organisation Chemdawg
Dutch Passion Blueberry
World of Seeds Medical Collection Afghan Kush x White Widow
Emerald Triangle Seeds Bubba 76
TGA Subcool Seeds Querkle
DNA Genetics Seeds Holy Grail Kush

Oh yea. I forgot to put RP OG #18 on the list.

I was just wondering why you might choose og kush over og 18 then realized my mistake. So would you still take the og kush over the og18?

DNA & TGA are two of my favorite breeders, though i like gear that gets you high more than you. i've tried three different DNA strains, and all three were exceptional. their sweet haze is no worse than my second favorite strain. that's bee too lean and stretchy for you. their lemon skunk walks all over skunk #1 in lemongrass flavor, sexy golden pistils that make the plant glow and match the flavor and best of all, a nice euphoric high that's on the motivational side of mids vs skunk #1's happy, but too stoned to do anything about it buzz. if you like that though, i'd suggest DNA sour cream because it's so crazy delicious! it's the only stoner bud i like because it just smells and tastes so sexy.

for someone looking for stoner strains as you seem to, i'd suggest
DNA - sour cream for flavor and a euphoric stoney buzz you can still at least function on
&
TGA subcool's jillybean which is many people's favorite. it has a heavy stone from what i've read, but has really high euphoria. me? i love their jack's cleaner 2 which has some stone, but nice euphoria, a warm body stone, a really fun touchy feely effect, and best of all, trippy visuals that you don't get from afghani dominants. it's my favorite strain so far.

if you're tring to stay in a budget, i'd say get a 5 pack of jillybean, a fem of sour cream and a CH9 jack fem. that strain is really compact and indica looking, but low odor and only lightly stoned with plenty of euphoria. i'd rather smoke that than sor cream as the buzz isn't so stony, but that's me.

hope something here helps.

Most of those look good. Which ones to start with depends a lot on what you're after and what your experience is growing.

Unless you have a lot of experience, I'd skip the Barney's Farm stuff for starting out. Dr. Grinspoon looks good on paper, but in practice, I've heard its finicky to grow, hermie prone, and takes forever to finish. The same is probably true of the sativa-heavy Laughing Buddha. Both of these are going to be sort of stretchy, too.

Its hard to go wrong with DNA Genetics/Reserva Privada.

Personally, I'd go with Kosher Kush (mainly because I love the name, but also because its gotten great reviews; the fact that its a cup winner doesn't hurt) and the Querkle. All of the DNA/RP Kushes are probably pretty good to excellent, but it wouldn't make sense to me to grow more than one of them at the same time.

Blueberry would be in my second run (for "old school" ness), and maybe Purple Wreck or the Afghan-Widow. Any of these last three should also be relatively easy to grow, and would make good choices for a new grower.

Another thing, if you've only got the space/ability to run two plants at once, you might want to "strategize" how you grow them.

You'll need to consider flowering time, necessary space for the plants, plus issues of possible gender selection.

For example, the Laughing Buddha is billed as a 90 day strain. Given that its a Thai-Jamaican hybrid, bluntly, it wouldn't at all surprise me to take a full 14 weeks (ie 98 days) or even longer to finish, PLUS you'll need another 21 days (or more) of seedling/veg time before its even ready to flower. So I think realistically you're looking at maybe 16-17 weeks from seed to chop.

Dr. Grinspoon? That one is billed as a 95-100 day strain, and I bet it could go 16 weeks easy (ie 105 days), plus three more weeks veg time. That's nearly five months, plus you'll probably want to add another month of drying/curing time (at least) before you can smoke this.
If you start with either one, what are you going to smoke while waiting for it to finish? :weed:

Also, both these plants are probably stretchy, meaning they'll need horizontal training and may take up more space in your grow area than others. Depending on space constraints, you may want to mix a smaller plant with these at the same time.

Querkle, meanwhile, is a pretty fast indica, and that one could reasonably go from seed to harvest in as little as 10 weeks. If you were to take a clone of it while vegging, maintain it the whole time, then start flowering it right after harvesting the main plant, you can probably pull off two entire harvests of that one in the time your Dr. Grinspoon is going. This one can also probably be kept a bit smaller.

Some of the beans you listed are probably not feminized, you should consider gender selection issues. Are you going to plant extra beans in case some turn out to be male? Do you have the space needed to do gender selection of more than one plant at once? Etc.

Just finished up 6 Kandy Kush, all of them were pure OG but with big yields. By association I would bet that OG and 18 are dank. My friend raves about the grail...seems dna/RP have some good og in their beans despite some critics.

This is why I've put "Crazy" on "ignore"; he's simply full of hot air.

Not only did he not bother to answer the original poster's question about which strains to choose from the beans he's got, but he's actually recommending strains he's never smoked nor grown himself!

Again, my take on this is if you can only run two, you want to run two that are fairly different in effect, so when you're done you'll have two entirely different meds to choose, depending on your given situation. That's the main reason I said it wouldn't make sense to me to run two DNA/RP Kushes at the same time.

Damn it would be a hard decision for me tbh.. I love og so I would've went with
holygrail
kosher kush
skywalker og
cannalope kush
og kush
cant go wrong wit none

Pick one you like best from : DNA, Reserva Privada, TGA and Emerald Triangle, ignore all the rest. Good luck!

you REALLY like emerald triangle, huh? cool. any of their strains low odor and get you high you think are above average, especially if they're trippy? i'm always eager to test the best as long as it isn't crazy expensive (read over $100 where $50 is my usual limit). they're a breeder i don't see a lot of people growing YET, but there's plenty of awesome gear hiding where the majority isn't looking yet. joey weed was off the radar when he was around, but those of us that sampled his cindy and apollo crosses were happy campers for sure.

i'll look into any suggestions you have for sure. it's not easy finding the gear everyone would love if only they experienced it... know what i mean?

Without any info of what you like, I would recommend Kandy Kush off your list. I have grown out quite a few strains from many different companys and have only been impresssed with TGA and RP thus far. The Kandy pheno I have is very vigorous and hearty, stretches like a sativa but fills out with large dense flowers, lots of side branching. Mine has a strong Trainwreck smell with a OG, very hint of very pungent, amazing taste even without a cure and the resin production is great. Takes 9-10 weeks to finish up fully but the yield is amazing, one of the largest I have seen. I have not grown any of there other strains but from my experience with them, I assume they would be pretty good also. With that said my TGA Ace of Spades is my new favorite in the garden, I have a amazing pheno that smells like Baja Blast from taco bell and is the most resinous of 3 females and by far the most resinous plant I have grown, not to mention it turns magenta.

DO NOT SUPPORT EMERALD TRIANGLE! THEY ARE A BUNCH OF THIEVING BASTARDS. They stole Zoolanders genetics, renamed them and started breeding with them. Check out ICMAG for more info. Fuck emerald triangle.

Well you have some beans that are regular and some fem... If you're going to pop regulars then you should definitely go with two of a kind and hope for a female out of them. Keep in mind that with such a limited capacity you aren't going to be able to sort through phenos. I normally wouldn't advocate growing out fems, but in your case it might be the best way to go. with that said I'd go with the kosher or holy grail kush (haven't grown either out or even tried the strain, but they sound intriguing and both have some accolades)

My World of Seedss White Rhino X Mazar is an excellent strain for many reasons. Will try more WOS offerings. Excellent [plant. Very tough, very forgiving, fast growing, tolerant of nutes - these guys knew what they were doing with this one. My RP Kandy Kush is going but a douchebag compared to G13 Labs OG13 (OG Kush) and this WOS gal.
