Hey Rollitup,
I may be new to the site but I have been growing for many years.

I am currently running 9kw flower room with 3 ton split ac and three 432w T5 for the veg. I grow with botanicare aeration coco 3 gallon tall square pots. SVA/SVB and SBA/SBB base nutrients with mainly advanced nutrients aditives. I try to get 16 plants per light but am thinking about kicking that up to possible 20 plants per light. Mainly OG genetics. Average yeild more is 1.5-1.7 will open hood wing style. I would love some tips on getting those numbers up past 2.0.

I will be moving into my new home and will be setting up everything in the same style but I want to run 14kw flower w/ 5 ton split AC and six 432w T5 for the veg. I am upgrading the home to 200a service first thing.
The room is 23x22 but everyting will be on roller trays. If you need an idea of what im talking about.https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=230628&page=4
Thats a good example of what im talking about.

I just wanted to get peoples feedback is there anything that I may be missing by going that large?
The flower room will be ran at night and the veg room will start its night cycle at the begging of the start of flower for 6 hours, if that makes sense.

I still want to be able to live in the house comfortably as i have been at my prevous residence.
Will going this high cause me issues. I have heard stories of transformer failure.

I appreciate any replies and thank you in advance.

You said you currently run 9k with a 3 ton Ac . Are your lights air cooled ? I run 9'with 4 tons . I think 14kw is too much light for that size box . Your break down seems accurate but I don't see wall fans and dehumidifiers and Pumps and all the extra shit that adds up. Your not adding the Ac for the house when it's hot as fuck in summer. If your in Cali your lookin at 4k ish for the power bill, if that doesn't sketch you out than I don't see any problem with doing that at a house, there are people doing way bigger . Are you currently using co2? I get over 2per consistently but I don't grow in 4x4 trays.. I use 5x5 ish space per 1k lamp .

You could free up some amps by running a flip box but then you need two flower rooms. Dividing one big room into two is easy though.

Instead of burning 14kw x 12 hours it becomes 7kw x 24 hours...same amount of kwh but leaves more power available.

Thanks for the reply patrick. The dehumidier is already factored in, its the quest 155 like the santa fe units. There will be pumps but there not running all the time so thats not a concern. The wall fans i will be using are only .5 amps a peice so thats low. I hand feed with a wand from a res fed by gravaity so no electric there. Yes sir, I run 10 most of the year but in july/aug i drop it to 9 lights. All adjust-a-wing reflector non air cooled. Remember I run my lights at night. I keep temps at 78 degrees. Its a home central split ac not a mini split, its ducted into the room and outputs over each tray. I was estimating 5k electric bill. I would love it if it was only 4k. Yes I use co2 as well. My grow trays are 4x4. How many plants to do you fit per 5x5 tray.

Redi Jedi Thanks for the response.
I thought about splitting the room like that but then I would have to get 2 ACs so that negates any amps saved. I could use a damper system on the AC but I doubt that would work as effecient.

i wouldn't think ud have any transformer problems unless u share one with another house doing something similar. in my area it tends to be one transformer per house
