Not yet. I bought a multimeter today, lights have been out since then. They come back on in 10 mins and I'm gonna get to work trying to trouble shoot it

The driver that don't have issues was only warmish when running full power, the other was hot.

Once dimmed down both seemed consistently the same.

The hot driver also has a sound of flowing electricity coming from it when at full
Power. The other is quiet as can be.

The noise is what drew me to the driver in the beginning. I turned fans off in the room and heard it immediately

Yeah I would say its defective driver. It does happen. I've gotten bad ones before. There should be zero noise coming from them.

Im flipping the girls tonight.

What kind of numbers should i be aiming for at the canopy? I started with the lights approx 18-24" away from top of canopy and have since just let the plants grow closer without adjusting. Lights have been dimmed down since the beginning.

Fyi I am also looking to build a new led light. I am curious to know how much u spent? Im thinking of getting a 4x8 tent for flowering only. Im assuming I'm going to need to build two lights for my 4x8. Thanks

i spent around $1200ish canadian to build 2 of these fixtures ( 960w)

$200 frame and heatsinks
$370 2 drivers
$500 strips
$100 for wire,project boxes and wagos

Yep super impressed with this run, the lights are doing their job nicely and the new room is easy to grow in. Im excited for harvest, im expecting good #s

Ive had a few small hiccups along the way, nothing too serious, all in all, im loving the strips and their performance, the plants seem to really like them.

Just finished up four 4 QBs lights. And 4 others. I've been busy. I ended up getting poison sumac from weedeating. And I got it every where. All over my face, my junk, every where. Had to go get shots. I use to get poison ivy when I was little really bad. Had to get shots and steroids. Then I hadn't got it for a long time. And apparently I found some sumac weedeating. The next day I woke up my left eye was swollen shut. And I was covered. My entire left ear swollen. And itching. I even had it on my scalp in my hair. From Sweating and wiping my face. I just smeared it all over my face. Wife had another lung scare. Was in the hospital for 9 days. Then after 9 years working where I was. The owner just closed the doors. No warning, no nothing. And having two kids off for summer break. It was kindve stressful. I dont even have a garden. I did pop 6 beans to hopefully find something worth keeping. All my keepers are gone. All the moms I had. This is the first time I havent had a garden in over 7 years. But I have 5 above soil now. On their like 4th set of leaves. Long way to go.

Jeeesh, you been through a rough patch for sure. Wife feeling alright again now i hope? glad your on the mend, very shitty news about the work stuff, you gonna just build some lights untilyou found something else?or have you already started elsewhere?

I'm back workn. For a different company. I was outta work for like 6-8 weeks. The wife has a rare lung disease. Call Lam lung disease. Lymphangioleiomyomatosis it's when blood vessels developed abnormally on the lung in places where it shouldnt. Her pulse ox drop to low 70s. While at rest. Normally at rest you should be like 97,98,99. So it's pretty much like suffocating. Bc your lung doesnt absorb the oxygen when you breath in. So then the lack of oxygen in the body starts to cause problems with other organs. She was a smoker early on which didnt help. Her left lung has ruptured twice. She had the skin off the inside of rib cage pulled off and put on the outside of her lung to patch it. Like a tire patch. Then they covered it I talcum powder so it would scare and the new skin would adhear to it. Scary having two young kiddos. And shes onlys 36. She has slight copd. But we both quit smoking. Im at like 88 of not smoking. Shes got even longer. But the doctor told us of she didnt quit she wouldnt get to see her 7 year old son graduate high school. But since patching her lung shes been alot better. Her pulse ox stays at around 92-94 which is great for her.
