These plants are just 14 days old from seed, and starting to have some problems. I did start having some discoloration of the roots, but was noticed fast and already taken care of. Also they haven't been growing any slower then before. So I'm lost here.....

I'm also using the Technaflora line of nutrients. For the most part i've followed "The Recipe For Success" except i started at 1/2 strength then
recommended.

600 watt hps
Tent temperature stays around 77-80 degrees
Rh at around 40-50%
Sprayers are on a cycle of 15 mins on/off
PH- has stayed around 6.0-6.4
PPM- has stayed between 600-700 with my water starting out at 250 ppms by itself

I'm noticing some rust spots on some leaves, yellowing of newer leaves, and some of the older leaves curling downward.

Hard to notice the yellowing of the newer leaves in the pictures because of the lights, but don't have flash on the camera, so it was the only way i could get pics. But i circled the yellowing on one pic, the other problems are easy to notice.

whats the res temp? i usually keep nutes around 400 ppm until it grows more shoots.. I top out around 7-800 ppm for veg 1000 for flowering.

Res temp stay around 65-70 degrees, i have a heating stick in the res for when it drops to low. I read 70-77 degrees for the res is perfect for growing plants but also perfect for other mold and other problems to start aswell. So i try to keep the res at an avg 68.

Do you think it could be nute burn?
And i read to discard the original ppm of your water, and add to that.
So if my ppm is around 600-700 and my water started at 250, the nutes ppm should be around 400-500. I could be all wrong on this, If so correct me please lol

Herbacide,
It looks to me like nute burn. Especially pix #3 where both tips are necrosed. Seedlings are very sensitive and generally it's best to wait till you see a bit of yellowing in the first true leaf set. So back off on the nutes.

And the issue of the water ppm. Nute burn arises from the total ppm. You can't just ignore the 250ppm of the water...the Ca and Mg and other elements are part of the ppm load.

I've even seen seedlings burned from just the chemicals in really hard water plus the "ph down" chemicals added to get that water to 6.5. Capiche?

Alright, thanks for the advice.
going to clean the res tonight, get the ppm around 400 and see how it goes.
I also thought #3 looked like nute burn, but was confused but some of the other signs on the other plants like #2. Can't really tell by the hps light, but the newer growth is turning yellow starting from the center, with green edges.

Herb,
It could be that the nutes, being stronger then the plant could handle, was also causing a bit of absorption issue with some other nutrients. I know that happens in soil, but in hydro, all you hear about is ph lockout. So I'm just speculating without any real knowledge on that. But those burned tips (and I know those can't be the only two) make nutrient burn very likely for a plant that age. They should recover fine.

And always watch leaf tips when you bump up the nutes later on because that's where burn first shows up.
Good luck and peace,
JD
