13 on 11 off light cycle

Is there any truth that this will make buds bigger? I just read it a moment ago but not so sure...

Any truth that this will increase size of harvest?
I used to use 13/11 for all but last couple weeks of flower.
I switched to the @churchhaze schedule which uses 13.5/or 14 on during the middle 3-4/weeks of flowering. I believe it builds weight.
Week 1-3 3-7 7-10
This schedule 12/12 - 14/10 - 12-12 is said to require 730nm at lights out to initiate a rapid onset of dark period.

it does build weight because it vegges more while flowering. this equals more cabbage by weight though, not more active ingredients. want to increase harvest weight? vegetate longer, in a larger pot, with more light, quality feed, and c02, controlled temps and humidity, that will do it most every time with a good feeding/watering habit.

I tried that (not the middle weeks thing though) and those FR 20w LEDs...... I found that I didn't like the increase in cost vs. the return....
Still have 2 of those LEDs.
Might have to get them out and give them another chance. I get a better electric rate now...and that weeks 3-7 sounds interesting. Better then the whole run anyway.

Due to energy cost (I run a lot of lights), I switched to 11 on and 13 off, and saw no discernible difference in bud size from a 12/12.
If you don't care about cost or bulb life, go for it, but I don't think that 13/11 will make a big difference.
I feel I get a much more "stable" plant with 11/13 too...

You do get more vegging during the stretch, but it doesn't result in a more leafy product, just a larger plant when the stretch is finished. (this is assuming the 730nm pulse after lights out to shoot down Pfr)
