I can see how that might get a bit more complicated with several stages, but I like this a lot!

Hey @Malocan nice to hear! i hope we'll be seeing some pictures when your project is finished!?@Netherfly
Hello,
i wanted to say: thanks for sharing the link for the heatsink company from china. i bought some of the heatsinks and im happy with the quality and the price.
good luck and much succes with your projects.
lol great thread, food and all! OMG that DIY build is amazing. What a setup! And just cut the last of my asparagus, they where in a giving mood this year!

It's just a press. Too easy!Yeah, man...Netherfly, You obviously live the good life and know what you're doing...even know how to eat properly prepared food....But I have to tell you that whenever I see homemade solvent extracts, I wince.
I recommend to you to use your great building skills to construct a rosin press and make rosin instead of BHO. Once dialed-in, a good rosin process is nearly as-potent as the very best BHO....and absolutely no solvent residuals.
Thanks a lot @tstick .... i never looked in depth at rosin techniques, but now i'm gonna have to build a DIY rosinpressYeah, man...Netherfly, You obviously live the good life and know what you're doing...even know how to eat properly prepared food....But I have to tell you that whenever I see homemade solvent extracts, I wince.

Excellent, this is on my list as well. I will be following alongThanks a lot @tstick .... i never looked in depth at rosin techniques, but now i'm gonna have to build a DIY rosinpress
And whe're googlin'....
Jealous....I'm thinking about using a tabletop workshoppress like this

And then making 2 aluminium blocks for pressing with heating elements on them.
Today received my Dr.Dabber Aura pen vaporizer, loaded it with some BHO and i must say that it's awesome!
This little pen produces some nice good tasting clouds
Awesome, man! Yes! That looks like a great idea!I'm thinking about using a tabletop workshoppress like this

Is that the optimal temperature to work with? I've heard numbers in the 170F/80C range up until now. I don't pretend to know much about this process, so I'm following you and several others to gain 'virtual experience' before going ahead with my own purchases.Well, i ordered some stuff for the rosin press:

And found this 12 ton badboy close-by in a shop for 200 euro (220 dollar)

The plan is to make two 12x8cm (or 5x3") top/bottom aluminium plates with each 2 heat probes.
set the heat to 115c (or 240f) and then flatten the bastards!
From what i've read so far, the more pressure, the less heat.Is that the optimal temperature to work with? I've heard numbers in the 170F/80C range up until now. I will not work with flammable solvents or high gas pressures at home. Not only is it stupid, it's also now a felony.
