I was trying to help someone on ledgardner.com in trying to run these strips. They are supposedly lm561b+ strips. Here is a link to the strips.

The diodes are samsung. They are in groups of 8. 8 placed on strip, then 8 placed the opposite direction, so on and so forth. He hooked up a 48v driver to them and they worked. We were trying to came up with max current. This is the math I came up with for 128 lm561b+ diodes at 48v.

Does my math seem correct here?

I did a little research, and the lm561b+ has a max rating of 180mA per diode. If this strip is 48v I would assume it's 16s 8p. The lm561b+ is about 3v so 16×3=48. So each of the 16 in series would run at 180mA max. .180×8=1.44. So about 1.4A max current per strip?

They're 5000K. Just know that. Not the right color for flowering. Great for Veg though.

I've got some of the 56 diode Acuity strips - they work ok. No way to tell what diode they have, but the Acuity web page claims "up to 120 lm/w efficiency". If they are 22" strips I'd run them at 500 mA, otherwise they are going to get really hot with that high of diode count, even with heatsinks.

They should make a hell of a lot of light, even at that current.
