Dont believe that marketing hype, it just plain dont work for plants, gardeners can only work of real watteges, if it's some 20watt cfl thats all it will ever be regardless of how the equivelant wattage the manufacturer exagerates and hypes up is. Thats all based on different light spectrums and twisting the equations for light out put, if they had a 400watt metal halide they would probably say it emmits the equivelant of 20,000 watts!lol! Plus cfl's ratings are based on a very short distance from the bulb where they do in fact excel but go over three inches away and its just the same old peice of crap you try to light a room with and fail, id take the 125watt equivelant over one of those joke bulbs any day!lol!
Nah seriously get some decent lights, small cfl grows are seriously lame ass and cheap, you wont yeild nothing compared to the three/four months hard work keeping a plant alive under one of them, i know its the recession but either grow weed properly or take up a cheap sport.
I do actually have the 125watt equivelant and is a maxibrite 125watt cfl but it only claims to be a 125watt cfl and nothing else unlike your bulb and i bet it is at least ten times brighter and also the least i would use to grow a very small plant.
Two foot flourescents are the cheapest option if you want to save face in the grow world dude and good to learn on, read up on light spectrums and kelvin to work out what bulbs you actually need for growing plants. I wouldnt even try light my toilet with one of them let alone a weed plant, dont set urself up to fail, that thing will germinate a seed nothing else, anyone else who thinks small cfls work is either poor or has spent more money buying ten to twenty of them and all the fittings and wiring than a basic starter marijuana grow light. Peace
