125/250 Watt CFL tent grow - House of Funk Arctic Fallout

Also, got a pair of these en route to me:

As it is right now the fan is noisy. Not really motor noisy, but whoooosh noisy. Definitely overkill for this little tent, but with the big motor on speed control my guess is that it should be pretty quiet. Plus, it gives me the flexibilty to runn all the way up to 1000 watts without fear of any cooling issues. I bought a Speedster controller for my little axial fan and nearly killed it. Blessing in disguise in a way, saved me from putting that shitty router controller anywhere near this 300 dollar fan!

24 clones were taken today from the six remaining females, four cuttings from each:

One of the plants has a peculiar light olive drab color to it, distinct from the rest. Wonder what that's all about?

Joined up on Breedbay yesterday, seems like a great source of info...

What brand bulb are you running with your solis tek? Grow is looking great.
Thanks! I am currently running a twenty dollar Ultra Sun 400w HPS bulb, with the Solis-Tek being dimmed to 400 of course. It's pretty cool, I believe the ballast steps up the wattage when you turn it on as opposed to just bam! full on power.
Perhaps I'll spring for a 4 or 600 watt Hortilux bulb in the future, but I've spent so much money already and the reflector sits pretty close to the canopy as it is. The results thus far are already leaps & bounds above my previous fluoro grows.

Power consumption at the wall socket is currently 600 watts (597 to be exact).

Cheers to all who are following!

Canopy has finally leveled off and I don't have to constantly crop every day. Now it's just time to sit back, smoke a doob or two[hundred], and watch them fill on out. Keeping an eye on the ppms and pH, but all that stuff remains rock stable given the 20 gallon reservoir.

Temp inside is 78 F/58% RH. Tomorrow is supposed to be a record breaking day weather wise, so lots of data will be recorded from all of my little setups. Tomorrow will yield a goldmine of info...

Played around with the ebb & flow timing today while adjusting pH. Originally I had it set to 5 minutes on/2:25:00 off. Well I am using a needle wheel pump hooked up to an air pump here so let's take advantage of this bad boy! Thinking of this in terms of a dwc/ebb & flow hybrid type of system.:)

Currently my timer is set to 12 minutes on/2:18:00 off. Careful observation is underway...

Transplanted to 8'' net pots today:

They all look about the same except for that last one^. Definitely some major Indica dominance going on there. Doesn't have the outrageously branchy structure to her like all of the others.

Plenty of cooling for the bulb (fan is currently at 1/2 speed):

Arctic Fallout clones have popped. Changed out the cloner's solution for veg level nutes, running 850 ppm with a pH of 5.9

Gonna have some strong ass clones ready for transplant - straight into 12/12. My plan is to go SOG style this time in 3'' HD net pots w/ lid covers under 400w of MH lighting, and run the blue spectrum all the way up until around 25 days or so into flower, then switch over to HPS from there on out.

Bodhi your snow lotus did wonders to this chem cut. I got 7 different pheno's done curing on the 31st. The range of smells is amazing. 1 is a fruit punch chem smell, there is a few real skunky ones and my favorite a few that smell like ice cream chem? real creamy and sweet smelling. ill do a nice smoke report when they are done.

Sounds like the one I kept. Big cola forming structure with smells of vanilla icecream and baked pie crust with lemon zest undertones. All my skunky og smelling ones were pretty chemdawg dom in structure.
One of my plants fits the above description exactly. It's in the back of the tent so pics of it are really hard to take of her. Big, long, spear-like colas are filling out as we speak. That's going to be one of my keepers along with another that looks extremely bubba-ish. The latter will be a low yielder compared to the others but I can already tell the buds are going to rock hard nuggets. All of the others look pretty much the same, though too lanky/stretchy for my taste.

TurboKlone res it at a shocking 1000ppm (veg nutes). It's been hot as fuck here for the past couple of days, so I added a fan into the tent. I removed the TurboKlone's fan a while back. Good concept but the computer fan they use is SUPER weak, so it never made that much of a difference.

Clones are lookin' a little stressed, no doubt due to the high feed and temps. The key I've found to pulling this off is steadily ramping up the nutes from the get go and keeping that pH zeroed in at exactly 5.8 - this last part is absolutely crucial. An overnight drift upward to 6 and you'll notice it looking at the roots (the attached photo was taken while I was in the process of dropping the solution). I start out with Clonex solution at around 400ppm, then as a lot of pimples begin to form everywhere I change out the rez and up it to around 500ppm, then after the roots have popped completely for a few days I switch things over to full on veg nutes starting at about 850. Because the cloner's rez is so small, the solution always drifts upwards about 100+ppm, so if you were to chart things the nutes are climbing steadily throughout the whole process.

Updated the veg tent. Bought Hydrofarm's Megafarm today. Pricey? Yes(nearly two bills w/ tax), but it fits the tent like a glove... and now I'm 100% hydro.
