Good stuff mate, sometimes its all it takes hey :)

Only reason it tweaked my interest was my NLxBB did exactly the same thing, had me going for a week before my mate got me back on track with pH! You'll love the smoke of her too, im loving the flavour and high of mine still!!

hey all,

sorry for the immense delay...
just kinda havent felt like getting on and journaling...

i vegged for a total of 6 weeks.

heres some pics to catch up

week 1 flower:
IMAG1824.jpgIMAG1825.jpgIMAG1826.jpg

week 2 of flower:
IMAG1831.jpgIMAG1832.jpgIMAG1833.jpgIMAG1834.jpgIMAG1837.jpgIMAG1838.jpgIMAG1839.jpgIMAG1845.jpgIMAG1846.jpgIMAG1847.jpgIMAG1848.jpgIMAG1849.jpgIMAG1850.jpgIMAG1851.jpgIMAG1859.jpgIMAG1860.jpgIMAG1861.jpg

here we are now, in week 3 of flower. everybody's bulking and frosting up!
the nlxbb has taken until now to start frosting up, where as the Bluedream, LA Woman, and Skywalker Kush all have been frosty since the day they opened up.
IMAG1879.jpgIMAG1880.jpgIMAG1881.jpgIMAG1883.jpgIMAG1884.jpgIMAG1885.jpgIMAG1886.jpgIMAG1887.jpgIMAG1888.jpgIMAG1889.jpgIMAG1890.jpgIMAG1891.jpg

i found when it comes to add my nutes after a res change;
to wait till after the last feeding of the day, drain the fresh water they are flushing on half way, add all my nutes, turn on my float-fill valve, and let it fill/ph-buffer all night.
by the time i come back in the morning, the res is full, the ppm has come down to 1800-1990, and the ph has settled at 6.0.
has made things so much more painless...
*though i have to remember to turn off the float valve before their first feeding, otherwise the float-fill valve will continue to fill the res while the tables are filling,
and after the pump shuts off, overflow's my res and drains my tables all over my floor.
made this dumbass baked-mistake several times now haha. So now i have the shop vac and a dry towel ready to go next to the tent at all times:bigjoint:

Wow man those girls look amazing, you've done well hey :D so nice and green and getting some nice buds too!

Domt worry man, we all make the mistake of forgetting to shut off valves, I did it once too and came in to see water and nutes all over the floor. I only made that mistake once ;)

Keep up the good work man, you'll have some dank buds soon enough :)

took some more pics this morning
IMAG1898.jpgIMAG1899.jpgIMAG1901.jpgIMAG1903.jpgIMAG1911.jpg
im getting deficiency spots all over everyone,
and my ph has been steady 5.7-6.2, so im not quite sure whats causing it.
visible in the large camera-facing fan leaf, mid-screen.IMAG1907.jpg

but other than that, everyone look gorgeous and happy, filling out beautifully!

does anyone think my 600w lights are too close?
they're not burning,
the temperature less than 1" from the glass never exceeds 80,
for i have both 600's sealed and air cooled with an inline 350 cfm fan.

the reason i ask is because i see everyone with theyre lights 1-2' off theyre tops,
but i thought the only reason to raise your lights was for burning,
otherwise the closer they are, the more intense the light is, meaning bigger, thicker buds..correct?

they currently sit 8"-2" away from the glass.
and the bulbs sit about 12" up inside the sealed 3'x3' reflectors

could i be getting more/broader penetration by raising my lights?
im completely maxed right now, so this is more of a question for future reference..

i definitely let my girls get wayy to big this time

Today was the start of Week 6 of Flower:
IMAG1981.jpgIMAG1982.jpgIMAG1983.jpgIMAG1985.jpgIMAG1986.jpg
only got a couple bammers like these ones.IMAG1987.jpgIMAG1988.jpgIMAG1989.jpgIMAG1990.jpg
the rest are small/scraggly like thisIMAG1984.jpg
i think its because my bush was too thick, and they didnt have enough breathing room. but this was my first hps/hydro scrog, so im happy no matter what.
IMAG1993.jpgIMAG1994.jpgIMAG1995.jpgIMAG1996.jpgIMAG1997.jpgIMAG1998.jpgIMAG1999.jpg

going to add in the ripener after their next feeding!
things are moving crazy fast. wayy faster than under t-5.

Damn man, you got it well dialed in now :D sorry i missed your earlier updates, dunno how i missed them!

Man if there is no burning, keep em as close as you can :) more penetration will help the lower bids ripen too!!

Awesome work man, looks dank as :)

Thanks!
Yeah, a bit late, but better late than never!
Just glad I got things figured out intime to get some dank meds. The yeild wont be what I was expecting/hoping for, but the quality of the flower will still be more than exceptional, which is all I could really ask for.

And Im not burning anything, even when they would stretch up and touch the glass,.
The fan I have running through those sealed reflectors keeps things super cool.

80 at the glass, and 75 ambient.

for some reason,
the NLxBB is still stacking fresh pistils,
and appears like its going to take another 2-3 weeks of flower,
vs all the others who have 1-2 weeks left and are like 30% amber pistils

how long did your nl flower for?

I took mine to 9 weeks in total, it could've gone another week though tbh. I cut mine with only about 10% amber and the rest milky but it was stinking my whole house out so it had to come down. Still a beautiful smoke though, the smell and flavour is ridiculous :)

The BBxNL did in fact turn out fantastic!
Its the best smoke out of all the others that I have, or even have come across.
Impossible to hand grind, and I have to clean my grinder constantly or it gets to sticky to work!
The aroma is unlike I or anyone I know has smelled before.

Thanks again!

Mine for reasons I believe due to the sudden cold weather (30-50F)
My bbxnl ended up taking 12weeks of flower to get to about 20% amber.
That's happened to me before, but i thought it was because the T-5 I was running; probly a compounded problem.

Hmm thats odd man, 12 weeks for a supposed 8-9 week strain sucks hey. As long as the end outcome was worth it, which Im sure it was, then all is good :) glad to hear you got some good smoke mate!!
Im getting geared up for another grow shortly, will be a blueberry x white shark that i made myself, cant wait :D
