So the hydro guy is thinking my problem is a nitrogen deficiency. maybe but unlikely I'm running Veg+Bloom and he's telling me the powder lines are very salty and don't have an even supply of nutrients. well if you weight your powder , it should be fine He said tap is fine for hydro because it's strictly water so a little cholorine is actually a plus to keep a sterile rez.I agree He also said our tap has some excess alkalinity because we are surrounded by limestone this is probly your issueHe said soil guys should worry about tap because of the organics they run. He wants me to try his nute lineup which is based off of the Dutchmaster series before I buy an r/o system.dutchmaster is solid but i dont think it will solve anything, r/o system will fix your issue He was also saying my nutes are too high as is. I'm running 750ppm in week 2 of flower. He said they max out at 400ppm in flower...400 is way too low. 2nd week of flower u should be between 600-800. think your ec is fine maybe drop to 650 and see.

With a system of your size you should invest in an reverse osmosis filter. They gurantee there

Amazon prime has some really good ones. When I can afford it I am getting there 89 99 dollar one btu I'm in canada and that's amazon .ca but com should have even more options
well shit if there only 100$ I will definitely get one

I LIKE your style @weedemart, some solid advice there, I wish I'd known someone like you back in the day.

@paperc07 , this guy know his onions, listen to him

@BusterVAP , must be one of these communist infiltrators planted into RIU to start an internal war.....pmsl..........or an AN rep/employee/mole?..........Advanced nutrients are SHITE!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you wanna learn about nutrients, search 'reverse engineering your nutrients' on this forum. All of the cannabis directed nutrient companies are a RIP OFF
what does that mean lol knows his onions

Check out the capacity of how much it does and see if it will produce enough for what you need. And filters need to be changed every so often like a year or something but it isn't alot
Ok I always thought they were so much more, this is 100 gallon a day and I only need 200 max so something like this should be fine correct
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002JLACGK/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1471527445&sr=8-2&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=reverse+osmosis+hydroponics&dpPl=1&dpID=41ae0TPQQhL&ref=plSrch

Also so does it just connect to a line coming in and just purifies water going out into a resivour

No you have a water line 1/4 inch line going in and you need to collect it in a drum or something. I wouldn't advise going directly to reservoir unless you have a ph doses but even then you will mess up your nutrient levels

You need a new guy. 400ppm in flower is too high? Did he even specify on which ppm scale? He is crazy especially for thinking 400ppm in flower in an ebb and flow system is going to give you no deficiencies. I am running veg*bloom at 1.7-1.8 Ec. If you think it's a nitrogen problem go buy a small bottle of gh grow and see if it helps.

Ya 400 is pretty low in flower. When I switch to flower I would be around 4 to 600 ppm. Sorry I don't use ec scale yet. And right now in week 5 of flower I am at 1000ppm and just starting to get a little tip burn. Stick to one nutrient line for now. Until you find out what exactly is wrong. You can jump around to find what works but it is costly.

And you might be asking yourself did this work or what did I do that got these results try to write everything down so you can go back on your notes. And adjust and observe. Watch the brown dirt warrior on YouTube he has some great videos on intuitive growing
