Hi all, This is my first grow room set up, thanks for stopping in and looking. I need some opinions on if I'm doing this right. Here's my plan for venting either a 400 or 600 hps...

Heres a pic of the closet with some bag seed in veg. The attic entrance is directly above the vegging plants. The corner of the closet on the left side are both exterior walls (the side w/out the lights).

I plan on splitting the closet in 1/2 (making 2 rooms 6 X 2 X7) with 2 layers of poly back to back and 1 X 1 frame creating a flower room on the left. For doors I'll also use poly on the flower side to make things light tight.

I was going to get a 400 hps but am thinking I'll get better results for the buck if I can use a 600 hps. Either one I think will need a cool tube.. Here is the squirrel fan ( it was free) I have to cool the 400 or 600. Its attached to a new door that will replace the attic door exhausting the air into the attic. I'll use a pipe to come out of that box and tie into my bathroom exhaust fan vent that is also in the attic. No worrys about smell so I don't think I need a filter?

My 6" intake pipe will come in on the very far left near ceiling either from the outside or the bed room itself I have either option. I live in a cold climate with temps going down to below zero in the winter. If I suck that cold of air through a cool tube will it hurt/shatter the bulb? If it won't hurt my thinking is suck the air from outside through the light and pipe over to the fan and back outside via attic. No sucking my heat out the attic just the lights heat.

I plan on using solid 6" vent pipe for everything except a couple pieces of flex to attach the in and out of the light so it can be raised and lowered. The intake pipe will then run across the entire ceiling of the closet to the fan hanging down from ceiling (attic opening), I'm thinking I'll be able to cut or tea a 4" short drop pipe into the veg side to help exhaust that room too? Kinda of like the way a dust collecting system in a wood shop is set up. But this would also be sucking my heat into the attic..

Clear as mud???
Would you go w/a 400 or 600?
Will ice cold air hurt bulb?
Can I splice a 4" drop into a 6" pipe for extra exhaust of room?
Do I need a filter?

IS this gonna work???? IF I'm on the wrong tract please let me know, I won't be offended by anything you say :) Thanks for reading this mumble jumble and happy growing!!
