12 out of 12 Females??!!

Hey guys,
Just done my first grow, and managed to get 12 females out of 12 seeds, and was wondering if this happens often?? or did i just fluke it haha. they were just crappy bag seeds too.

Also had a spare pot with dirt in a pitch black corner, and a seed cracked and grew after like 2 months of fulltime darkness. Just happened 2 look at the pot one day and there it was! again, bit of luck??

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!!

the bagseeds you got were probably femmed. ive heard of plants growing in total darkness, but i would be surprised if you could pull of an entire grow in total darkness lol ^^.

Yea but how were they femmed?? They wernt 1 batch of seeds all from the same place/plant/grow, they were seeds id saved 1 by 1 from a bag here and a tinnie there??

The odds of single seeds in a bag , most likely created by herm pollen and youll see down the road how stable the girls are

Wow, that IS lucky! I thought I had good fortune when I popped 3 bagseed and got all females.

Yep, either you got extremely lucky, or the seeds were from a hermie.

Aw ok, didnt realise hermie seeds were femmed?? interesting.
Also, already finished that grow, and they were plenty stable. Healthy buds, nice smoke. Just thot it was a bit weird to get all females hahaha

if you did use reg seeds, the chances of getting all females (12 out of 12) would be like a thousandth of a percent.

no stress for the first 3-4 weeks, predominately blue light.

Interesting, i've never heard of environment affecting sex. FTA: "Sometimes as high as 90% to 95% on a consistent basis" I'm confused here, sometimes consistently? and 90-95%... that's hard to swallow

well, you can tell the dude that wrote it isn't a scientist OR english professor but he does appear to be a pot grower.

take it how you want it, I just passed it along as it was passed to me. I haven't even read the whole thing but got some important details and am following them. hell, I just cracked my first seed a couple weeks back.

turned out a freak of nature, a triploid, I'm doing everything I can possibly do to ensure a female, I don't think sex is predetermined but I'm not educated on the subject.

Yeah that's what has me confused... definitely seems like he knows what's up and there's so much good info in the article but in the end the guy is trying to convince me he can pop 90% females out of regular seeds with basically doing nothing but providing a good environment?? Sounds like one of those too good to be true things to me but i'm a skeptic

If they were all from different bags then the probability of females is the same for each of the twelve seeds, 50%

Also had a starter mother plant going wen i planted the 12, another interesting influence??

most single bagseeds will be female as the bud was pollinated from a female that popped a banana towards the end of harvest most likely. Not bad genetics, just may be hermi prone if anything. But that IS why you have 12 of 12 females. Maybe a little luck involved, but predominantly influenced by genetics
