12 hours of light all the way??

Hey,I have a "sick" friend that has a premision to grow
"medical" marijuana (im from israel),anyway,the goverment
gives her seeds,and she told me that they told her to do
12/12 right from the start?
isn't that wrong? and if so,why will they
tell her to do that? and what will happen
if i will start to do 12/12 from the start instead of 18/6??

No this is wrong. 24 hour light for veg', then 12 hours for flower.

Although it can be done just growing straight for 12/12. The plants will never amount to much.

I have a suspiscion the government just want to keep her yields down.

to my knowledge, going 12/12 all the way gets you bud much faster and its pretty good too but doesnt grow to full potential of the plant. Its called "sea of green" method or someshit

Your knowledge is wrong...

Just because you put a seedling into 12/12 does not mean it is going to start showing sex quicker. A plant will mature faster under 24/0. Mature, and show sex in as little as 4 weeks.

yeah a sea of green still involves a full cycle of growth, its just successive crops in the same room one after the other. You can grow 12-12 all the way if you have clones ready 2 go with wicked rootage. Aeroponics is a good method for starting 12-12 all the way through because they grow more quickly than u can keep up with. I agree that the government probably just doesnt want ur buddy getting a pound off of her personal smoke plant. In general you want to veg. with a 24hours cycle in a blue light spectrum and 12-12 throughout the entire flowering cycle. Good luck!

no no, 18/6 should not be causing you any problems. Keep in mind that many people throw their girls in 18/6 for one day RIGHT BEFORE STARTING a 12-12 cycle. This is because the plant will recognize the slight change in cycle and get a early headstart into 12-12 as far as I know. If you are trying to keep the plant completely veg, like if you have a mother, then I would just keep it on 24...its not hurting ur elect. bill.

You are absolutely right. My baby has been under 24 hours light since sprout, showed her sex in 28 days. Putting plants directly into 12/12 lighting does not make the plant mature or flower any sooner than under 24 hours light. Jorge Cervantes updated his bible because of this fact, scientifically marijuana plants grow faster under 24 hours light. Everyone has a schedule that works for them, but that's just the facts...

Same here, 24/0... it's better scientifically and I don't have to set up my timers yet.. lol..
