12 bulb T5HO

I have a whole bunch of extra t5HO 6 bulb units laying around . Was looking at them today and it wouldent be hard to turn a 6 bulb unit into a 12 bulb unit in the same footprint. Take two and make one stronger light ...

Probably going to make 2 and see how they turn out. I vegged with these lights before and just diddnt like the results, a 12 bulb unit x2 would be comparable to a HPS in terms of pure lumens with probably less heat “i could always add fans to the shroud and blow on the bulbs or vent the case “

Why not place them above and on the sides of the grow can supplement light all around the plants?

Because plants want to grow upwards and no matter how much light you add to the sides its always better to put that light on the top imo ‍♂ .

Are they used t5 bulbs?

I just got new 3000k flower bulbs in . I do have some slightly used 5000k aswell but i wont be adding them for flowering .
