A light cycle 12/12 will trigger flowering. For vegetative growth 18 hours of light and 6 hours of absolute darkness is a fool proof way to go. Although some will go with 24 hours of light and no darkness at all, you may find a couple of cons to that ( heat, cost, etc. ). For vegetative growth, N-P-K should always be in favor of nitrogen. Get a good 20-20-20 and a 5-0-0 ( or whatever ... ) boost to it.

You should read on fertilizing, I can tell you're going to make a f*cking mess if you don't ...

hold up..... dont feed your plants 20-20-20 or 5-0-0.

the foxfarm nute i use fro veg have a npk of 6-4-4
the flower nutes i use are 2-8-4

you are gonna burn the shit out of your plants with some grass fertilizer or something. but a good nitrogen enhanced fertilizer for veg is important.

Have you considered that there were other fertilizing options out there ? You're using 3:2:2 ratio for veg which can be reached rather easily with 20-20-20 and 5-0-0. Everyone does it with 25% of the recommended dosage.

Watch out as the 5-0-0 stuff usually comes with extra Iron. As I've said, read into this as much as you can then share with us ;-) !

Every nutrient has a different N-P-K rating. Just use higher Nitrogen for vegetative, higher Phosphorus and Potassium for flowering. Something like that...
