I recommend a timer if you can't be there to turn off/on your lights...one or two minutes isn't that big a deal but 10 mins or more either early or late could cause problems especially with a Sativa or sativa dom strain as most of them are kinda finicky...even if you're late pulling the plug be consistently late...basically just get a timer...standard models are only $10
From what iv read and seen, it looks more indica ? indica dominant? here in NZ we dont usually have strains like over in the states ect.. Our most well known strains are purple haze and white rhino. But thats rare here. most our strains are good general. I could be wrong could be sativa. but leaves seem to dark and wide for sativa? i let you be the judge haha

As long as you do the lights within a couple mins or so either way you should be fine...I did it like that before and it worked for me so go for it my man ! :-)

size has nothing to do with the plant going into flower.
most people that grow sativa's veg until they show sex n take cuts, soon as they root they go into flower.
some really shitty advice here.

The plant can take a little "mistakes" from time to time - that's how we learn -happens to all of us one time or another

This thread has gone sideways. Here's what I have to say on some of the points:

- personally, I'd go with all 2700k bulbs as soon as flower starts, but unless heat or fire hazard is an issue, use all of the other bulbs you can when growing with CFL
- whoever asked whether the small seedling is an indica or sativa... it is way too early to tell. Not only that, I have (now and in the past) indica strains that look/grow like sativa, and sativa strains that look/grow like indica
- get a timer. My lights go off on a timer, but I still need to shut a door after I get up. If I'm not up to do this, some ambient light enters my flower room, but very little. This has never had an effect on my flowering, but I'd never dare chancing not having a timer to turn on or shut off my primary lights on a 12/12 schedule. To not have even a $4 timer when invested in this hobby is asinine.
