This is true, but that is just the 'optimum' light schedule. All producers of auto's say that they can be grown under any light schedule of at least 12 hours and still get the job done. you will have less yeild if you do it on a 12/12, but I don't care about yeild this time around. I have plenty of regular plants, Cannibis cup winners, for yeild. This auto run is to get auto seeds, and to fill up space after the males have been sexed and removed. When the auto's show sex, males will all be moved outside to a separate area to flower with other breeding males I have from other strains. Pollen will be collected and distributed accordingly from this area, to both my regular moms and my auto moms at different points in the summer. The auto seed run will start earlier, obviously.. Some auto's will be grown outside as well, and during the middle of the summer, that is close to their optimum schedule.
I have some G13 Haze that will be coming in also, and a couple other strains, that are getting started flowering within a matter of days. I was thinking of leaving a couple extra seedlings of regular varieties in there as well, so I could compare their performance to the auto's under the 12/12 inside, and then compare both those to the auto's grown outside with a more optimum ligh schedule. I still have 8 seeds left, 4 each of two varieties, that I plan on testing under different light schedules later. So don't worry, I know what their optimum schedule is, I'm just experimenting to see what they do with less than optimum, since it's really just to get alot of seeds and cross the 2 varieties strongest phenotypes, if I get variation. I hope that helped explain my thought process a little. I don't exactly 'need' these to carry weight. I got other plants for that.
