I was thinking the same bout the roots and trying it my self but then again its (keyword) challenge... Just my thoughts, other may think differently

yes I'm going to. Did that on purpose . I will fill them in when the time is right. Did that for the stretch .if I would of filled it up in the beginning they would be more lengthier. This way just add more dirt when they rise above the top of the cup.

I was debating on doing that same exact thing, being that I've never started seed at 12/12 my thinking was they gonna stretch like crazy looking for light. They really haven't though, not like I thought they would.

Me neither. Never grown 12/12 from seed or in a cup. Was thinking the same about the stretch. Trail and error. I'm hanging out learning having fun. I just love growing.

I have never hatched seedlings under CMH but mine stretched like crazy! I needed to prop them up and have raised them 12" closer to the light.

Thank you for joining us @Way2-High , hot soil will stop a grow before it even has a chance to begin. Good idea to start your delicate seedlings in a starter mix or bag soil just to be on the safe side.

No worries J, I’ll be here till the end. I hate that I fudged it so bad.
Now I know I can’t manipulate growing characteristics from the start, I tried something and it failed. Shoulda just grew them instead of trying to be fancy.
My failure does not reflect the viability of Kepsters seeds it was a f up on my part. You’re all looking awesome can’t wait to learn and grow!. Hopefully I’m not a total failure here’s my last shot at a female out of my first 4 plants. So far 3/4 males.

Day 38 from seed. I’m flipping to 12/12 at 40 days old.
