12/12 from seed grow?

I wanted to ask about growing 12/12 from seed to keep the plants small like bud sticks single cola grow

I'm wanting to try growing in a 1/2 to 1 gallon pot not sure yet I'm going to be using a water only super soil to grow in so all I have to do is water and maybe add some compost tea every other watering... . Other than that can someone give me some Tips to help me with this type of grow... How high above the plants should I keep the grow light to help keep the plants small. I'm limited on grow space that's why I wanna learn to. Grow this way any help would be greatly appreciate Thanks

12/12 from the start is a waste of time and water on soil in a gallon pot will be depleted before it flowers I've rarely seen a commercially produced water only soil hold up unless it's in a good size pot.

I will be using Nature's living soil I have talk to them through emails and they told me I should do fine growing in small pots long as I use a compost tea made from there super soil mix or top dressing it and using real growers recharge would work to for a full grow

I know I saw a good 12/12 grow from clone here. They were doing a perpetual grow - put four new clones in, take four out every couple weeks. From seed would be harder, istm, because the clones are probably better able to take the jump to the flower room quicker.

Sativas, varieties that shoot up tall and tend toward the profile of a single bud cola with sparse side-branching. Don't let anyone tell you it won't work or that it's a waste of time or soil, lol, try if yourself and see for yourself. I've seen very pleasing results using this method WITH THE RIGHT genetics for it. And if your 'super soil' gets depleted feed your soil, or plants, whichever the case, simple.
When plants grow in equatorial regions that naturally get only 12 hours of light you think they don't make anything? Go there and take a look. Again, just make sure you're running the right varieties that naturally come from these areas.
