12/12 from seed Cannalope Kush(first ever grow)

Hey guys, I have been posting in the 12/12 from seed thread quite a bit and I'm sure some of you have seen my Cannalope Kush in that thread.

Well, I thought I'd start my own thread as it's now flowering, but I'm not entirely sure for how long, possibly two weeks but the pictures I will post should be able to show you how far in I am. I do have a couple of questions though.



How long do you think it could take to finish from this current stage?
I did start to see an abundance of trichomes appear pretty much over night(4 days ago) on the sugar leaves I think they're called? If that helps guesstimate the finishing date?
Does everything look good(apart from the light burn spot on the fan leaf)?



The plant currently stands at 17 inches tall, it's 8 weeks and 4 days old. Unfortunately because of money issue's, I was not able to purchase the medium I wanted which was Canna Coco, even though I'd purchased the nutrients for it!(Fuck you bank charges!) But alas, I'd read up on the Canna Coco A+B nutrients and they are usable in soil so I kinda got lucky.
Once it got to around 4 weeks old, I introduced 5ml of A and 5ml of B to a 2litre bottle of PH 6.2 mineral water, but now I am using 10ml of each in a 2litre bottle.
My lighting consists of 4 2700k CFL's. A giant 200W CFL which produces approximately 14,000 Lumens, two 30w 2700k CFL's that produce approximately 1700 Lumens each and an 11W 2700k CFL which I have no information on as it was given to me by a friend who stopped using his CFL set up.

I know it won't be ready in a few days or something, I was thinking that maybe I had 5 weeks to go, would that be a decent estimation?

Your plant looks good, and she may still be stretching.
I think with cfl's it takes a bit longer to mature so I say 6-7 weeks left.
I have a female bag seed 12/12 from seed that showed first pistil 8 days ago. I went the LST route with her.

EDIT - it's an early flowering dominant sativa, and it says 9 weeks for it.

It's just the one plant, I have 4 others in there too, but they're not flowering yet. I'll probably add more threads when they're flowering It's two C99's and 2 Lemon Kush. I will be adding a Durban Poison soon which is currently in the damp paper towel waiting to go into soil!

All of my plants are at different stages, so as one enters flowering, one is finishing, or at least that's the idea

Yeah, I'm not sure it's what they say it is though. Personally, I think it looks more Indica but SeaofSeeds say it's 70/30 in favour of Sativa, I am quite confused Lol.

Maybe you're in the 30% It does look Indica right now.
Maybe you got the OG #18 pheno.

looks good so far, youve got most the flowering phase left to complete, your plants only look around 1- 1.5 weeks into flower at this point, but im not sure what the breeders recommend. Good luck they look healthy at the mo

I think the breeder recommends going for 9 weeks as xp0c said, but I'll just chop it when the trichs look how I want them too. I'll be getting a digital microscope soon which I can plug into my PC and take some macro shots. I've not seen anyone do a smoke report on this plant so even though I've never done one before, I'll be happy to do a smoke report.

At the moment though, it smells very sweet, almost fruity, it's seriously smelly though, I can smell it downstairs and it's sealed in a closet upstairs haha. I think I may need to invest in a carbon filter, or possibly make my own.

Yeah but in all fairness, it's all down to personal opinion on when to chop it. It all depends what type of high you want, but I'll probably go for 9 or 10 weeks, I prefer the couch lock effect as I struggle to get to sleep at night sometimes.

Quick update for you guys.

Trichome production has really picked up and every time I check it(every 3 hours to "burp" my closet), there seems to be more and more white hairs appearing on the budsites. I'm starting to get really excited now as it's all coming to fruition!


I was a little worried by this one, as I thought it was a ball but I checked it just before lights out and it looked to have a hair coming through the top, but I'll check again at lights on in the morning.



And finally... Ooops! Haha One of my lights didn't come on so it stretched like fuck! I've put some support in for it and when I transplant to a bigger pot, I'll make sure I plant it deeper.

Starting to really see growth on the flowers, I'm getting real excited now

That's cool, what is it you're growing?

It's bag seed. Definitely Indica dominant.

Man, the smell it lets off is amazing... It's almost sickly sweet, like a syrup or honey. The trichome production on the bud leaves is phenomenal and I just hope it continues onto the buds. Also one of my others has been in preflower for about 4 days now and is starting to stretch a bit.

I also have transplanted my 3 seedlings into custom made 2litre(ish) pots. I cut the tops off of some 2litre bottles and poked holes in the bottom and wrapped them up in paper to stop light penetration. Anyone done this before and can tell me their outcome? Cheers.
