12 hours ON, 5.5 hours OFF, 1 hour ON, and 5.5 hours OFF for each 24 hour period.

That is called the gas lantern method. @RM3 uses it, maybe he will chime in.

Alot of people use it.
It can be strain dependent and seems to work best if started early with young seedlings or clones.
Saves 5 hours of light usage.
Its not really about if it works better or not but it can be much more efficient

It saves in several ways, as most plants also finish faster, I just had 2 finish in 6 weeks

I'm using gas lantern routine for veg and 10/14 for flower. In addition to lower electricity bills, it cuts about a week off my flowering time. Win-win as far as I'm concerned.

one of my plants has taken off using this cycle compared to where it was at. Will post pics later tonight
