What I can't believe is how far you got with 10 watts. this looks like a 1/2 ounce finisher which would be pretty amazing.

Yea, the 100w LED's with the difuser removed are blinding. They are a great source of corner lighting or as you have shown they are great for micro grows.

The 100w bulb I have was purchased 2 years ago and i imagine that designs have changed, but the base of it gets really hot/warm. Have you noticed this at all?

I'd like to see a quantum board PC grow.

What if you bought a 150w viparspectra for 89$ or quantum board and built it into the top of the cab? This would send most beat right out the top.

I'm thinking of doing this with my 2x2 tent. I run 200w of Vero Cob in there.. It's plenty bright even at 75%, but to run it at 100% the temps get higher than I like. This is with a 180 cfm fan/filter running.

Frick, now I know that on Saturday morning I'm going to be cutting holes and ruining my tent :)

yeah the base of my 10w bulbs get so hot I cannot touch it .I'm pretture sure most if not all of the heat generated by the LED's TDP is pulled behind it by the heatsing so putting it in the top of the cabinet is going to have most of the heat outside , if there is heat under the light I'm pretty sure thats just the heat from the light itself not the led working.I'm currently growing in a cardboard box , I am not running any cooling at all , my lights are mounted on a sheet of steel , around 1mm thick , 2cm under the led there is no noticable heat ,I dont even have a fan in my box , its probably 30c in that box but the plant has not shown any sign of heatstress.

I feel like I need to elaborate , I upgraded to the 3 bulb setup 5-6 days before the last pictures were taken , they day52 pics are after the plant was under the 30w for 5-6 days , I feel like it is making a big difference.

day 57 , finally starting to look like a proper plant.I think it looks a bit hungry , or mg defficiency , I don't know really , I have been watering her EVERY day (some days 2 times) because she is in a solo cup basically , I have fed her with 70% strenght 2/6/7 nutes every other feeding but she still looks hungry to me , either that or ph problems from the extreme case of rootbound I am sure she is suffering from.

I'm surprised it's growing even that well, but you're wasting your time, as that's still not a lot, particularly for what you could get for the wait. I suppose we'll see how well it finishes, though.

There shouldn't be any reason 10w of LED gets so hot you can't touch it.
