Son has most of the work done, needs 3 more girls to fill his quota. He's 19 and living alone for the first time, lol I always told the boys stories about Bigfoot while they were growing up. Hope I didn't traumatize him?
If I sleep in till 5 then I'm doing good, just wish I had the energy to go out and so something...
I just got snipped yesterday so I can't do much here myself either lol. Got frozen pees on my balls.

Im scared to death of that myself..... facing it sooner rather than later...... Feel like I would be losing my pride, and a whole lot more...... frozen peas must be a godsend for you...... some day I will have the courage to go through it for my wife..... some day.....

It's nothing really. Only took about 30 minutes. The only thing that hurts a bit is the needles they stick in your balls. Not very pleasant but I've had zippers that were worse.

Not a problem, getting a laugh out of this.. I have 4 sons and momma let me keep mine intact, she had the tubes tied. Now that's love.
Bit on the windy side again today, no loss but the girls are showing good genetics..

Hey JJ, saw you had a little scare? I've got mine pretty much out in the open so they do get the full force. Think it hit 100 here today, couple more days of this and they'll be swollen with all the water I'm dumping on them, 10 plus gallons today plus fed them..

You should also mention the application where you water in the ferts and water the day after the ferts. You know I have used Maxsea ferts since you told me about it and I really like it. Last year I had no problem in using 1 tblsp/gal when the plants were in the 20-gal pots. I tested the pH and 1 tblsp really lowers the pH. I recently started using 1/2 tsp of Maxsea grow on the plants 2 ft and lower in 1-gal pots. All of the strains were good. I went to a heaping tsp after 2 feedings at 1/2 tsp and I got some pH burning on 2-3 strains. I measured the pH and it was around 5.8 when I added 1 level tsp so the additional heap probably burnt the plants. I have gone to watering first then adding the ferts. I also pH the fert solution for safety.

Little confused..... I think your talking about "watering in"...... media stabilization?

I am always referring to it when I say I fed, and then watered in.

Say I feed 3 gallons of nutrient solution (1 tblspn per gallon Fox Farms Tiger Bloom) into a 15 gallon pot, the nutrient solution will be pretty low in ph, and high in TDS. To stabilize media conditions in the pot for optimum availability (even distribution) and uptake (media conditions), I add plain water as the last of the nutrient solution is soaking into the soil (no runoff as of this point). Since I gave 3 gallons of the nutrient solution, I give 1.5-2 gallons of plain water. I would record the feeding at the amount of "1/2 tblspn/gal FFTB per gallon watered in" and record the nutrient solution, plain water, and runoff ph. The runoff is usually a bit lower than the plain water, as my plain water is 6.7, and the runoff is generally 6.2-6.4 ..... and the nutrient feedings are between 5.4 and 5.8. Its the runoff that tells me a lot about how its mixing in the media, as I can test at the holes in the bottoms of the pots to see if the ph is consistent all around ;) (using a soil ph meter and testing the runoff water at those points). There are ph stabalizers in my soils that assist with this process as well. And when they are in the ground I cannot test the runoff, but I can test the soil ph, and I feel comfortable with the fairly consistent results I have measured over the years in pots.

Remember that I use beds and the soil isn't compacted. I feed first then water till the beds are saturated. Have never used a ph meter, have always measured amounts of ferts by the look of plant. Not knocking them, just never had a need for one. Used lots of different brand names (ferts) in the past 30 years but I've had the most success with Maxsea brand and have yet to loose a single plant to nitrogen burn.
Like I posted, my cousin is using 1/8 cup per gallon two times a week and his plants are doing good. I wouldn't use that amount but it's a personal choice. Have seen 1 plant that was burnt and I've no idea the amount of maxsea he used, (embarrased) but he did admit to using more than 2 tbl per gallon? We all have different taste and ways of doing things, marijuana is hardy and can be customized to our own ideas and that makes it and what we do special.

I agree in your method but why not just dilute the ferts to begin with and not shock the roots with low pH and high TDS solution?

I hear ya and it must work since both of your guys plants look great. I just didnt water it in after the higher dose to dilute it. I can only imagine what the pH is when you initially put in the ferts to the ground. I havent transplanted to the ground yet (Im late again) so I dont have my good soil mix to buffer the fert solution. They will be ok after this or next weekend. Cant believe your cousin is using 1/8th of a cup with no burn. Crazy!
