I'm in charge of all vegetation plants and clones at my work so upward of about 1600 plants or so
Clones are easy what do you use?
Stretchy bitches in the vert tent, that's for sure..I pulled several more large fans after these pics were taken to air things out a bit, things are looking great. The vert plants are all stretching nearly at the same rate which is great news, they're all 48-50" at the moment if I had to estimate. Those will get maybe one more bottom node lopped off but I'm not going to do much else to them as for once in my life I don't care about getting a couple ounces of larf this run. It's still way better than normal shitty airy popcorn and I have an inkling that I might want to spend a whole day with the bubble bags this run since I hardly smoke flowers anymore (or anything anymore for that matter).
I'll start tying these to the wall in the next day or so and continue over the course of the stretch. Need to grab some twist-ties and a few more reusable zip ties so I don't waste all my normal ones.

400w...

Still haven't tied anything down here with the exception of pulling a couple of stalks together that split with some rough handling. I think I'm still not fully committed to this being a horizontal tent and I'm still seriously considering dropping a 600w bare bulb down the middle in there. I'll be pushing it with my 20 amp allowance (really 16 amps @ 80% load if I'm being smart about it) but I think I could pull it off. We'll see how I'm feeling I guess...
here's an upskirt shot of the 400w...like I said, much less aggressive on the lower pruning than I typically would be this run:

I tried. My temps went crazy in the tent. Not enough ventilation. Then again in an air conditioned room. Again too much heat. Even had vert screens and did the training. But had to go back to horizontal. You bet your ass I still got the sockets though. For now I'm working on getting cuttings to root. I can't clone for shit. Lol. It'll come to me.
Hey bro your plants are looking mean.
How do you set your light through the very process. Do you hang it slightly above the canopy or try to keep it pretty even
You get that vert going yet?
I tuned in here to see how the silver mountains turn out. Mine turned out pretty well. I'm curious though, given the vert bulb and the fan below, don't you think moving to a horizontal light would be more productive given the fact that you could throw another plant in the middle of your tent?
Not a chance. I could put 6 plants in that space under the same light with a horizontal reflector and still yield less with all other things equal than with the 5 plants I have in the vertical setup. You utilize far more of the available light in the vertical setup.
You have to remember that in a horizontal grow, the canopy is...well...horizontal, so the lateral space you have is the space you have, period. With the vertical setup I have essentially tripled or quadrupled the available canopy space and made it a vertical canopy rather than a horizontal one. This of course doesn't translate directly to a 3-4x gain in yield by any means, but I can say with confidence that with all other factors remaining the same, you will easily get 1.5x the yield in a vertical setup versus a horizontal one even if you don't know what you're doing.
Those look great, that Kali cross really catches my eye in particular...haven't had any Kali Mist for the better part of a decade but it will always be one of my top 5 of all time.
hmm mines just drying right now, i am loving your smell descriptions. i have 2 that are gassy smelling, different structure but same smell and 1 that had rounder buds but smells slightly tropical fruit. the 4th plant was a bit airy with big buds, my least favourite. My only complaint about silver mountain was that it wasn't quite sativa dominant enough for me. Otherwise, they're fragrant, frosty, heavy yielding, great tasting flowers that my patients seem to really like. A quick pollen chuck to my kali keeper might fix my complaint but either way I think you'll be a happy camper. The aromas were really nice too. One of mine was equal parts pine and bubble gum. Some expressions turned into piney, fruity funk in my jars. Best of luck!
