hey bud nice thread. Ive got 4 silver mountain in flower at the moment - week 5-6. Like the goji they really go for it in flower, easy 2x stretch. You probably know this already.
For the fungus gnats i use tanlin, sticky traps and nematodes and although it isn't guaranteed to wipe them out it stops them from becoming a problem. I'm subbed up and looking forward to seeing the fruits of your labour.
Thanks for the tips man. I'll take a look at your thread, can't seem to find much on these SMs anywhere. I'm glad to hear they're stretchers, I'm counting on at least 2x to fill out the screen so that's good news. Hopefully I can train the Gojis into minding their manners since they're probably going to get stuck in the small tent under the horizontal light.

Took the 5 tallest Silver Mountains and threw them in the 3gals...however, starting to think that my previous idea that 1gal fabric containers would not get rootbound is wrong with these plants. Those guys needed the transplant for sure, and while they weren't at all rootbound in the severe way that a hard-walled 1gal container would be after this long, they weren't as comfy as they could be either. I'm wondering if I didn't make a mistake by not putting the Goji in one of the 3gals last night instead of the 5 Silver Mountains since I left one of those behind anyways, and since 4 of the 5 are almost identical in stature while the 5th is quite a bit shorter. What I'll likely do is run the 4 SMs + the Goji in a 3 gal and then run the rest in a mix of maybe one or two 1gals for the sake of a good experiment and the rest in 3gal fabric pots filled 2/3 of the way to try to keep the height down in the 400w tent.

Quick shot from tonight, they went under the 600w from the 400w finally last night and are loving it...

Please post any pics you have man, I really don't mind if you put them here at all...or link me to a thread, whatever's clever.

image.jpg image.jpg I think this girl will be the keeper silver mountain. Looks like the quickest finisher, densest, stickiest and has a stand out terpene profile. Haze, bleach and yesterday's puke. I'm thinking she will be ready in 9 weeks on 11/13. Probably the most appy leaning out my 4, an amazing fusion.

Wow, those look phenomenal man...best photos I've seen of the Silver Mountains, which surprises me since the second I saw what the cross was I was pulling out my credit card to order the beans and I'm shocked more people didn't do the same thing. Shit, especially my fellow vert growers, that's a damn dream team of genetics for a donut like I'm running. I know it's silly to get too specific but just for the sake of asking, do you see anything in the SMs that I have in veg that look similar to that pheno you posted photos of? They seem fairly homogenous except for two which are really short, one of which looks exactly like the Jabba's Stash -- makes me wonder if I mislabeled that one. The rest have a wonderful structure and are growing with great vigor.

edit- the Silver Mountain in the last photo I took are the 4 along the back wall and the one on the far right second row from the back...that one on the right is going to be the star of the vert show, no doubt in my mind.

I went ahead and transplanted everything but the weird Silver Mountain that looks like a Jabba's Stash into 3gals because I will be hand-watering and even though I just built a sweet new pump/feeding system, I work too much/too far from home to feed 3-4 times a day like I will need to if I keep those things in the 1gals. I really wanted to do the experiment thing and still might try it with the 1gal but I prefer consistency over anything else so chances are they'll all be in 3gals for the rest of their lives at this point. Maybe next run I'll do a somewhat controlled experiment.

I know what you mean, ssh x appy? what the hell how can this not be fire? i can't really tell if your plants are similar to this pheno at the moment. to be honest this plant is really hard to access, its in a tricky spot in my 3m x 3m tent, today was the first time I've smelt her in 2 weeks and i just thought WOW. until recently they have all been fairly uniform. the others have got bigger buds but not so dense, more lime haze smells on those girls. they have plenty of time to dense up though, I'm thinking 3 or 4 weeks more. maybe 2 or 3 for this nice girl.

persevere with the weird one! i grew out some dream beaver and there was a runt that took about 4 months to hit 45 cm height. But when i flowered her she gave me baseball bat sized buds (literally) of top shelf weed.
also i run mine in coco on 4 feeds a day in smallish pots. recirc, dippers etc. i love it :)

Oh it's gonna get run, just probably in the horizontal tent. At this point I'm thinking the 4 tallest Silver Mountains and that Goji will be the vert tent and the other 6 will be in the 400w, although that will be a bit tight I think. I will say that there is one Jabba's Stash (the best looking one, of course) that is somehow still not showing sex one way or the other. In my experience that means it's a female after this long of a time, but still remains to be seen for sure I suppose.

If you had to choose between a 3gal fabric pot being fed once a day or keeping them in 1gal fabric pots and handwatering maybe 3x per day max but more realistically 1-2, which would you prefer?

BTW 9 weeks sounds awesome, I'm used to running shit 10-12wks and it will be nice to have a harvest in less than 3 months.

Well I'm in coco and i do 2 gallon pots and water 4 times a day, that is my preference. occasionally if the plant is a beast or i know it likes leg room then i will go to 3 gallon but still feed 4 a day. i mix about 40% aeration product (perlite or S.S.A) with my coco so it drains real nice. i tend to veg for at least 6 weeks though while my previous crop is in flower.

id recommend blueberry hash plant too, i think they will be 8 seekers, maybe 1 pheno will go longer. Frostier than the goji which was a frost MAGNET.

Trash the goji it'll just be a disappointment and it loves pm unless u use eagle. Where you located at? Plants look healthy I use canna and tupur same schedule that I use commercially and pull 2-3 a light consistent at work. Is it only coco?

I'm in Blue Ridge Mountains. I'm not going to trash anything but I appreciate the perspective. Yep, straight canna coco with only canna A and B.

You'll see when its finished just another OG nothing crazy and any other additives? Rhizo?calmag?
No need for calmag, I use tapwater, canna a and canna b. I usually would use Rhizo as well but judging by this run it has been unnecessary in the past. I like my pH ranging from the mid 5's to around 6 over the course of the grow when in straight coco.

As for just another OG, I've never grown an OG variant myself because aside from the Tahoe cut, I really don't care for them much...this was a freebie and I have been told that it's interesting enough with the berry notes that it's worth running, and the structure should match up well for the vert tent. If it sucks it sucks, but worth a go either way. Thanks for the tips.
