1000W Seedsman Afghani #1 Grow Tent

Flowering has begun!!

Had some problems with overwatering. We let them dry out, they wilted, and then we watered again.

Is 300 ml about right for a pot thats 5 gallons ?

Let me know what you guys think about these... it looks like the majority of them have remained wilted since transplant .. hard to know if it's overwatering or underwatering. We watered yesterday .. (300ml) . the soil was definitely dry then ...

It's possible the water isnt getting down to the roots... or on the area to the outside of the pot where the roots need to be headed to.

AAH!

Talked to the people at the hydro store. Turns out we were underwatering. They were recommending 16-30 ounces every 2-3 days, and we were only really doing 8-10 ounces every 5-7 days. The water never really dripped out of the containers either and they recommended watering until a little bit came out the bottom.

Also got a new tent, fan, and carbon filter for our soon to be mothering tent, which will later become the "premium" tent.

they want nitrogen in veg bro
yeah but we're flowering now. flowering early due to time constraints.

dont worry you'll get to see the juicy pics of the next grow when we start vegging in a few weeks .. northern lights x skunk #1 and purple wreck (trainwreck x purple urkle)

Having some problems.. One or two of our plants are looking like they have magnesium deficiency.. the one with the worst leaf (pictured below) had a ph of 5.8 or so coming out of the bottom of the plant.. I tried fixing this by flushing with 3 gallons of ph 7.5 water. Another one or two of our plants is showing cupped leaves, which is also a bit worrisome... ph came out of that plant at around 7.0 so im not sure if there are ph problems... Should we be Ph adjusting our water ??? We've been watering about 20 ounces every 2-3 days .. until there is a tiny tiny bit of runoff. Maybe the nutrient concentration is too high (we havent been feeding ever)..

Should i add ph down to our tap water to get it to 6.5 ?

Heeellp !!

Ok so my current plan is .. i have a 5 gallon bucket of water from the tap (7.5) that is ph'ed down to 6.5 .. next time we water we're gonna give em a little extra, cause salt concentration is probably building up due to breakdown of organic nutrients maybe ?? Im not real sure .. but this is the current plan

yeah you should ALWAYS have 10% runoff when you water. And every 2 or 3 weeks its good to flush HARD with a light nute soultion. (if u have 14 4 gallon pots then you will need 112 gallons of water to properly flush them all) You always need to ph you water. keeping it at 6.5 is a good start, but i find i like to let it drift from around 5.8 - 6.7 and back down over 3 or four waterings

To anyone who says SOG is same yield less work. thats straight bullshit. Unless you have an irrigation setup SOG is plain more work. So without running a hydro setup or drip setup, you need to take every pot out and feel if it needs to be watered 2 or 3 times a day if you want to properly not under/over water.

Me... i have 6 plants in 20 square feet, yes it did take a little longer, but that is what my veg area is for. If i did SOG my Veg area would be empty half of the time. Meaning SOG equals more plants, more pots to check if they need water, less use of vertical space in my area. Plain and simple SOG is too much work without an irrigation setup.

SOG is worthy if you have 2 or 3 times the amount of floswering space as veg space, and personally i would only do it if i were growing hydroponically(way easier in my opoin)

side note: Only when i did my DWC hydro experiment, could i spend 20 minutes adding water/nutes/ph down(usually) and the forget about the fucker for literally a week, come back to 3 or four inches growth, and no damage of any kind... Only problem with Hydro is not many strains strains/phenos will work perfectcly together in the same system.

oh man... get some fine dolomitic lime and mix it with your water. If you worried about salt build up... flush fist and then follow up with the milk. I do like two teaspoons per gallon!
