1000w MH/HPS Digital Ballast Help?

Hello,

We had another power spike today and my MH bulb which i've had about a year flickered but woudln't turn on at all. I ordered a new 1000w mh bulb, but then found that the 2 hps bulbs I had I put in and they did the same thing. I'm beginning to think this old 1000w normal ballast my friend gave me is fried and I need to buy a new one. I figure I want a nice digital 1000w, so here is the question, who online sells the absolute best 1000w Digital mh/hps ballast and hood? I had to put my last 2 plants outside to flower early I want something quality and dependable.

I would go with a quantum ballast i love them check them out.........can find them anywhere really

Greners has the absolutely best deals on HID lighting. They have better deals then on ebay. They also you let you upgrade items for little to no extra charge. I upgraded this package to magnum XXXL hoods for only 80 bucks extra. I'm sure they'd let you switch bulbs to MH if you'd like. Everything in this package is name brand quality items. If you want a different type of hood that retails for the same price as the package hood they'll let you swap them out with no up charge. They may even let you change ballasts too, however I'm a fan of lumateks so I can't complain. Shipping is pretty reasonably priced too. I'd call them on the phone. They tend to charge less on phone orders.

I agree with footcan. I use a 1000watt digital quantum ballast. They are mh hps switchable and the great thing about these are that they can be dimmed. On the ballast it has 50% power and 75% power. So if you want to save money or not stress your plant out rite away with a 1000watt lamp you can cut the power in half to theoretically have a 500watt lamp at 50% power or even a 750watt lamp at 75% power. Big fan of this ballast.
