1000W Hps?

Whats up everyone im new to this site.i gotta a question should i start my seedings with a 1000W hps or is that to much any help is greatly appreciated:)

you can it will stretch it because you'll have to place that 1000k light far from the plant to reduce heat problem. Its not practical because your wasting energy you can veg the plant till its 3 node then make the switch, veg using flouresent btw.

yes you can do that. You can also veg with hps too, but that will stretch your plant and give you a weak stem system and when you flower you'll need support.

I use flourescents, I would love to have a smaller metal halide for veg...maybe a 400. I think that's about ideal.

find a metal halide conversion bulb for your HPS, use that for growing and vegging, then in about a month or so go back to the normal HPS bulb for flowering. that'll work the best for you.

my 1000W HPs light puts out 150,000k lumen i read that 90,000 is too much light, it is not good for the plant so im wondering if this is true

no no no, you can never have 2 much light, just gets damn hott, u know what i mean. the more light the better,ALWAYS
