1000W HPS for 4 plants

Just bought a 1000w HPS with an air cooled reflector, it along with the ballast and the rest of my flowering room are on the way right now.

But my primary question is, would a 1000w HPS be feasible for 4-6 plants at any one time or would it just be too much heat for such a small scale grow. Well regaurdless it's on the way in the mail anyway and I have plenty of ventilation for the room so heat shouldnt be a problem.

My primary concern is blowing my friends shit out of the water, as he belives his 400w FoxFarm grow is going to beat the ebb and flow system.

By the way if anyone is curious, I followed Mr.Greens guide on the grow room setup, basic wood frame seperated by black plastic laced in mylar.

a 1000w is perfect for 4-6 plants! 1000w's will give you coke-can colas if you have the right strain!

I went with Haze 19 x Skunk off nirvana this month, and because the whole setup has cost me roughly 400 dollars (from nutes to seeds to lights and ebb and flow hydroponic system) I just bought one pack of the single strain, REALLY wanted to get White Russian as well but the H19xS looks down right delicious.


He was trying to make me feel stupid for buying a 1000w, meaning he was very jealous .


BTW I got Dutch master Folitech Grow and flower, any word on this stuff if its any good? Am I forgetting something or need more specific stuff to go along with it?

yeah dude 1000 watts is awesome for 6 plants man, let me tell ya. just get all the other smarts like C02 and shit and you should smash on that puny 400 watt

1000 watter with 6 plants will definatly grow you some bushy plants as long as you do your part and dont stress / kill them.
it will penetrate all the way thru you plant and give you good solid nugz all the way down and your top cola oughta be super dense

Sweetness, I got a sick ass reflector with fans on it aswell because I know it's going to produce alot of heat and I got most of the materials online with the exception of my reservoir and tubing ect. Meaning in about 2 weeks I should be starting my germination!


c02 is a bit too expensive at the moment, but I will be getting a tank and the adapter/regulator thing in the future.


Until then a helpful amount of carbonated water three times a day!!

hey the setup sounds good
instead of actual co2 tank try something else that will be less expensive. for example sugar water n yeast, im not sure of the proper amounts to mix of each, look into that method though, it should help you blow your buddies set up away.
