1000W Hortilux Blue

I am in the middle of planning my 2013 summer grow and am trying to decide on the products i will be purchasing for the grow season. I have settled on the 1000W Hortilux Blue bulb as it seems to be the closest light fixture to the suns spectrum. I am thinking of getting virtual suns 1000w air cooled hood with magnetic ballast. Would this bulb work with this setup? is there a better air cooled 1000w setup? i will be using a 4' x 4' 7.5' grow tent. Any help is appreciated.

I run Eye hortilux super hps for flowering because it has a better spectrum. As far as MH i usually go for cheaper bulbs, but thats just because I havnt noticed enough of a difference between MH bulbs. Summertime temps usually make AC hoods necessary They are much better because you can exhaust the heat more efficiently. Magnetic ballasts are good technology but if you have the money you may want to run digital. They are more efficient put out more light and are much cooler. Plus they run both MH an HPS. I would recommend Lumatek, Galaxy, Quantum etc. Get a quality ballast and bulb and be sure to get a back up bulb in case yours fails. Also get a nice heavy duty timer so that you dont have a fire or something stupid. Also never place a ballast on the floor of your grow room. Super easy way to get electrocuted or again start a fire.
