1000w HEAT ISSUES PLEASE HELP

I recently started flowering my 16 cola grow with my new 1000w cool tube hps. I am sucking air through my cooltube through ducting out my tent and into my attic with a 440 cfm exhaust fan. I also have 1 240 cfm inline fan at the bottom blowing air into the tent. I thought this would be enough to keep temps at a decent level. Unfortunately I am shocked to see that the temps at plant level are 93-95 F. If anyone has any advice or tips to help me cool things down please feel free to post. anything is appreciated at this point.

If I read that correctly you are moving air in to the tent and not out. The air around the tent is warm/hot so all you are doing is blowing hot air around. Try sucking the hot air out of the tent

You need to make sure you have the right size fan.... I am gonna have to guess you have 6" cool tubes? 1000 watter should use 8" cool tubes.... Secondly you need a good size fan for those 1000 watters... are you using a 4" fan? The CFM seems pretty low.... For 1 cool tube I would probably use a 6 inch fan a 8" would be awsome... I run 3 8" cool tubes in a row with 1 8" vortex and they are cool as can be... But I also run 6 6" cool tubes with 8" fans per each set of 3 and since the bulb is so close to the glass they still get pretty hot so I have AC in the room....

That makes a lot of sense! I wish I thought of that before buying the light tho lol.

I did try something new though in regards to cooling the tent down. I flipped the 240 cfm intake around to make it another exhaust and I opened the 3 long n skinny vents at the bottom of the tent walls to make air intake points. I am now able to maintain 89 degrees F in the tent. Which isnt great, but a lot better than what I had before.

Does anyone know if 89-90 effects the plants growth negatively still? I am still trying to find ways to drop the temps to maybe 85 and under

Open a window if its safe/cooler outside or you can crank the a/c. Also, if you aren't using CO2 you can leave the tent open.

Yes. If you could just get it down to 85 that would be good. Down to 80 would be perfect!!!

I run a 1000w in a 4x4. I use a window A/c to keep it cool. I vent into another room and it stays around 78. I only have one fan (6" through a blockbuster air cooled reflector) with a scrubber (inside the tent). If you just keep circulating hot air it won't get any cooler. A source of cool air is almost a must with a 1000w and a 4x4.
p.s. Make sure your ducting is as straight as possible.
