1000w 4x4 or a 600w 4x4 and 400w 3x3?

With both setups being 1k watts total would one or the other yeild better. Id run 4 plants in a 4x4 tent and 2 in a 3x3. Im veging under 650w of t5ho at 60-70 day veg period. It would be soil grow ffof, gh nutes, cooltube vented out of the room and temps 75-80 rh 45-50%. Any input would be helpful. Thanks!

if you are vegging for 70 days then you will have some fairly large plants and probably would benefit from as much light pemetration as possible. i would think 1000w or at the minimum 600w.

My current grow was vegged 75 days. im 32 days into flowering andthere around 3ft tall but there very bushy. 5 was too many plants in a 4x4. Im running a 600w right now and and they look great! I think ill go with the 1k next round. How much more heat does a 1k put off? I run a cooltube already and have a portable ac in the room so heats not a huge issue just curious.

I've got both a 1000W HPS and 1000W MH set-ups. Supposed to use MH for vegging and the HPS bulb/ballast for flowering.
But notice how much hotter the MH is. So I mothballed the MH set-up and started using the HPS for vegging and flowering.
No drop off in growth during the veg period and I keep exhaustive notes. That deals with the heat issue.

As far as flowering goes, 2 lights are better than one. You are vegging so long that the plants will be very bushy and you will
get better light coverage using 2 lights.

For veg I have a 4x4 tent with a sunblaze 44 & 48. I like how close the t5 keeps the nodes. first grow I got .44g per watt which I was happy with! But im looking to harvest a lil more(wife and I are heavy smokers) so I was kicking around the idea of scrapping my 600w for a 1000w or keeping my 600w in my 4x4 and adding a 3x3 with a 400w and offset the two to harvest monthly. under the 400w I would def veg for a shorter period. I just dont wanna keep a mom so I take clones right before I flower a new batch. But what would u personaly do?one 1k w 4x4 or a 600w 4x4 and a 400w 3x3? I already have two 4x4x6.5 tents btw

i like the idea of doing 1 month perpetual harvests. you can even run 1 of the flower tents for 12 hours and then the other flower tent for 12 hours (flip) to reduce draw on your power and make it easier to cool. i would go that route if i were you. gives you a harvest every month.

One light at a time Is a good idea im going to roll with it. I was just checking out virtual sun hydro online and a 1k setup would actually cost more cus id have to upgrade to a 6" inline and filter. I already have a second 4" combo. Two tents it will be thanks for your input guys ill be ordering tonight
