Hi, stopping by for the first time. Nice grow.

I looked at some of the earlier pages of your journal when you were still in veg and just looking at your plants made me want to reach into the computer screen and lay them down. You had wonderful vigor during veg and your plants would have responded well to forced horizontal growth with all those bud sites you had. Your mature plants look good, but had you trained the main stalks horizontally, you would have more bud as the light needs to travel a shorter distance to reach the lower part of the plant when the main stalk is growing lying down.

Just my two cents. Next time train harder. Lose those tomato cages and lay them down flat, I mean FLAT with a screen or string. It's complete insanity not to.

Here's the first plant, The flourescent lights really white washed the plants and I figured out in later pictures to turn the camera light on, it really brought out the true Grape Ape colors....This was probably the best producing plant...

Thanks man....I've learned so many lessons in this first grow...I'm really excited to get on to my second! Over all I'm really pleased with the Cap Ebb and Grow system, once I figured out the nutrients and water schedule, it was pretty much on cruise control all through the flower stage. Next go around I will start with the lights sky high in the grow room and start super slow on adding nutrients. Once I get up to full nutes, I now know that I have to double the CalMag that is called for in the nute recipe. I am going to go with Uncle Ben's topping plan to get 4 main colas because the main colas is where the most amazing buds are. I will trim way more of the lower leaves and bud sites the second go round because they just don't develop the way the main colas do. I will KILL THE SPIDER MITES BEFORE THE CLONES GO IN THE GROW ROOM! I will add air conditioning to keep the lights on temps down. I will make my home made Active Charcoal filters even longer next time to get more air flow. Let's see what am I forgetting?
My plan is to turn my current grow room into the Veg room and add two 50 square foot flower rooms with 2000W each and turn this into a perpetual grow, now I just need to find the money :-)

I was hoping for a pound of cured bud out of this first grow and I'm sure that I'm way short of that but I will post up the finished weight when we get there!

The pictures are a little dark but you get the idea..... I was sitting around trying to figure out how I was going to dry the individual buds that didn't really have a stem to hang them when I realized I had this Wine Cooler sitting here that wasn't working anymore! I just lined the shelves with bar mat material from the local Dollar Store and presto! Bud dryer!

Well if I can get my hands on another round of Grape Ape clones I am going to run it again. I started a mother plant but it's nowhere near ready to take clones from. I won't know the weight till it's done drying....

I'm drying in my grow room because it's my only option right now. How much room you need is really dependant on the size of your harvest. My plants ended up being really small because of all the rookie mistakes I made in the beginning and overheating issues. I just saw a video posted on this site of some Grape Ape plants that are 3 times the size of mine.....( https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/437466-bud-porn-super-grape-ape.html ) can't wait to start round 2.....

Well I knew I was going to be dissapointed with the harvest when I saw just how many buds were green in that dense ass foilage.....Even with 1000 Watts, there just wasn't enough penetration in the lower foilage. Everything that was exposed is amazing, everything else was junk. I probably should have cut the main colas and given the rest of the plant more time.....

So the final dry manicured weight for my 5 surviving plants was...... 197 Grams......:-(
