1000 watt splitter

I am about to either sell 1 1000 Watt lumatek for 2 600's, or get a splitter to make it 2 500's

Any suggestions? it is just for cold spots so 2 500's would be fine

was hoping for input from someone that has used a splitter or someone that knows anything about them. bulb life running at 500?

I know they cant be used with electronic ballast it has to be a magnetic HPS. And the only one I know of is made by sun pulse and they say that your only suppose to use there bulbs with them. Anyways hopes this helps.
