1000 watt MH 7 feet away from newly cut clones

Would this be too much light for newly cut clones in a bubble cloner. They’ve not gotten any roots yet. They’re currently under an old cfl light but not sure if the cfl light is enough now due to its age. Would the 1000 watt MH be too much light 7 feet away from the unrooted clones?

expencive to run and overkill for some clones, can you buy more cfl's (125watt) phatography bulbs or some strip lights for them?
no it wouldent be too much light
Well there’s mother plant under it too. Would it be too little light at 7 feet away?

If this par map is correct, it's actually very low.
I've never used a MH lamp so take with a grain of salt

~600 ppfd @ 24" or so says the chart
Inverse square law says if you're 7' away, you'll get ~ 9% of the output compared to 2' distance.

7/2=3.5
2**3.5 = 11.3
1/11.3 = .088

.088*600 = 53ppfd

Well would it be enough light for the clones to root under?

your mother plant will grow, maybe raise her up a little. yes your clones will root. but i would sugest you lower the light a tad,
is this in a tent or a room?

Your clones will root for sure they need extremely little light, chuck them in there with your mother and let them be they will be fine if your worried about it not being enough to get a 5000k dimmable and dim her right down and move closer

The only thing that much light isn't too overkill for is my kinda clones. They can pretty much go directly to flower under (or vertically next to ;)) a 1000w HID (or a Screw-inator 750+ supreme competition winning LED light fixture..? :hump:) within' 4-5 minutes after I cut them away. No rest until then either. They can handle MH over clocked to 1100w a few ft away like a CHAMP!
