1000 watt light way too hot

I have a 1000 watt air cooled light attached to a 220cfm fan. The fan is connect to a duct ---> to light----> to duct that travels about 8 feet to the window so it can suck in colder outside air. My questions are is it worth it to have long ducting to connect your air cooled fan to the window (i heard the longer the ducting, the lower the cfm)? And does higher cfm mean better air cooling (like 220cfm vs 440cfm)?

^^ it sounds like you are pulling air in from the window to the tent. it should be the other way around. you need to pull air from the tent out the window. also I would recommend a bigger extractor fan. I personally run a 435cfm for my 400 watt light. The only diference is that Iv got about 30 feet of ducting to my attic out the vent. my 32x32x54 tent stays about 5-8 degrees above room temp. if you need even colder temps you need to get ac.

No its fine to pull air in from the window because my house temp always stays at 65 and with the hot air blowing out of the tent it raises to 68, 70 max. The problem is just the radiant heat from the light. Im asking if I should keep pulling cold air through 8 feet of ducting through the light, or cut the 8 feet of ducting and just pull air from the outside of the tent to maybe get more cfm. I cant get a 440 cfm fan at the moment but will in like a couple weeks.
