1000 watt hps

i have a 1000 hps in a room with a 8ft ceiling and about 10ft wide how high should the light be away from the table?? the room is sitting at 35c too hot?

Sounds Awesome, have ya got any pictures? I think 1000w could be about a foot away give or take a few inches either way, also I read somewhere along my journeys to place a string from your hood to your plants to keep track of the height of the light...

that's way too close imo, if you don't get burns, you'll most likely get bleaching.

i keep mine no closer than 2' away, and that's pushing it....

kp is right, even with just 2ft away you'll still need fan blowing on your plants to keep hotspots at bay.

and that temp is way to high !!!...thats over 90f ? sorry dont know C temp well.

you will need good ventilation to help with this.

no problem sweetie, we know you mean well i goof more than most......

i'm having the same problem, goddamn are HPS/MH lights hot! i have a fan on the babies now and plan to do some more vigorous ventilation asap!
