Can I use a 100 watt bulb in a 70 watt hps light(balast)
What this guy ^^ says. No! only use a 70 watt HPS bulb in a 70 watt HPS ballast
Serious? You assume I know or even give a shit what a hp motor or stock gearbox is.thanks to those who answered my question without the smart ass condescending remarks. It is appreciated! But to you mr.turbo head,This is a forum where most people are respectful and happy to share knowledge.Unfortunatelythere are always the few people like you who make everything suck just a little bit.Congratulations.perhaps your user name should be something else head.Serious ? Would you put 1000 hp motor on a stock gearbox ? No ..... No you wouldn't
Thank you that explained it very well.i appreciate the info.In a 1kw ballast most accomodating lights are rated 900&something watts, never 1kw. The 100 watt bulb would overdraw the 70 watt ballast and eventually if not right away burn out the 70 watt ballast. In a practical circuit the draw should never exceeds the source.
