Okay so right now I have a little PC grow box but it has light leaks and isnt really up to my standards if you know what i mean. I want to make one thats 100% stealth but i dont really understand how the pc power box works. I want to keep the pc looking like a pc so i need to wire everything to the pc power supply. I originally thought that was going to be easy... just connect the black and red wires together and wola its done but thats not the case. I randomly wired the wires together and the fan didnt turn on. Im stumped does anyone know how to wire a PC grow box with the power supply intake to make it super stealth. Here are all the pics i have. but i can take more if ppl need to see things

It's not really that simple for starters the PSU puts out a specific amount of electricity to each cord which will vary depending on which type of component it is meant for, not to mention it produces a DC current. Honestly you might as well remove the PSU and put a surge strip in the computer case. Btw it's not going to look like a PC from the back the second someone see's all the empty ports.

lol you need a motherboard to turn the psu powered fans on, cause they dont spin when pc is off. i suggest to you getting 12v adapter or whatever was it's voltage and then wire and woila. also it would be useful to remove the hdd spots for bigger space.

Watch what i did in there, also you can make a small box infront of exhausts from the inside with an opening from the bottom as an example so the lights ain't getting out directly. That's what i'm planning to do and also to prevent light getting in from the outside. My Fan's transistor got burnt out though i think due heat and i need to get a decent one :(

You don't need a motherboard. You just need to tell the PSU to turn on, just as a motherboard would:

Hey all sorry to bump this. I'm trying to do the same thing with wiring the fans to the psu, but where do i plug the fan into when i put the paperclip in the green and black holes and take the motherboard out?
