I’m trying to be patient because I usually pull too early. All pistils are orange but they haven’t curled in yet. How long u do think she had until harvest ???
U don’t think I should wait until it swells moreChop it
Thank you. Wat is they best way to dry. I live in a hot area so I’m a bit nervous of drying too fast. I know I need a portable ac to put in the tent. Wat conditions should I aim for?Great pics my friend….u either have a steadier hand or better equipment than me.
You wanna make sure you’re looking at trichs on the calyces and the more interior part of the buds. Sugar leaf trichs will turn much earlier and mislead you.
That said, those pics were so good that I couldn’t really tell what part of the flower it was.
Id say if those trichs were on calyces you are in that window and are gonna have some fine hooch regardless of whether you harvest today or wait a week.
If those trichs are on leaves, then compare the calyx trichs and see if you have the same mix of cloudy/amber.
I’ll point out that when members, myself included, rant about how often we see growers harvesting too early, we (or at least I) are referring to much more extreme examples.
I’ve followed diaries where plants were maybe halfway through the flower stage and chopped because the breeder claimed it was a 9 week strain or something to that effect.
Even the most seasoned growers often feel a tad of uncertainty on when the “perfect” day is to chop.
From what I see in the original pics you’d be just fine chopping today or anytime in the next 10 days or so.
Lastly, I hate to break it to you, but the way you dry and cure will have every bit as much to do with the overall grade of the bud as when you decide to chop it. Good luck
So break them down instead of hanging them upside downOne more thing and I speak from experience on this one. You have some dead leaves that are mighty close to being on the interior of the buds.
You might consider breaking those buds down into nuggets for the dry and cure. That way you can take out any areas that may have been infringed on.
Plus you’ll get a more even dry and can begin your cure with all the buds at the same level of dry.
Take a pic of your big Baby Arm cola, then break it up.
You could hang them for a bit but before they get dry enough to jar/cure I would break them up into similar size nuggets. So break them down instead of hanging them upside down
