I want to learn hydro currently I am a dirt grower but I want to start to learn the how to etc. I know how my plants are now and those little systems look ok but I cant fathom how they will work as the plant will quickly out grow them in short order and thats with dirt, hydro is supposed to be better and faster.
I want to put together a few 5 gallon bucket systems & I need to find those 10" net pot's for them. Anyone know where I can buy them? I have looked all over the net and havent had any luck. They will sell me the whole system but thats not what I am trying to do.
Please help if ya know.
Blessings

I first bought 8" net pots for my buckets. Returned them and went with 6". You don't need any more than that. The roots grow out of them. Bigger nets just mean more hydroton or medium.

What BendBrewer said, get some 6" bucket lids, or if you wanna be cheap drill a hole in a regular bucket lid and put a 5 or 6" net pot in it.

I concur. I'de use the 10" ones for an ebb/flo type system but for drip/dwc, no need for such a big one. The roots will grow into the water below if you have water beneath the pots.

In my system plants grew a lot faster in the smaller pots rather than the 10" pots! But im a new grower and that one of the things I had to learn.
